When Bute says "I am ready for anyone except Kessler. In a year or two I'll probably be ready". When Froch says "I am far too good for anyone else. The only one that would give me a hard time is Kessler". When Calzaghe says "Kessler is the best fighter I have ever met". When Andrade says "Kessler is far the best I have ever met". and then we have 'Welshwizard' saying "Kessler is hype". Who would know better we wonder? :think
You are completely incoherent. You bring up two fighters of which one (Bute) by his own accord has no intention of fighting Kessler yet and the other has only had one fight at SMW and is not calling out the champ (Kessler) as he rightfully ought to if he wanted the fight. You sir are a complete and utter waste of bandwith...
Nobody is going to KO Hopkins unless he decides to go to HEAVYWEIGHT. HE doesn't take punishment like other older fighters. Hopkins not getting knocked out clean is one of the certainty's in boxing
"I watched the guy with the tattoo's (Mikkel Kessler) when I was in Las Vegas in April, and he's ordinary." "He can't fight going back or counter punch." "If you consciously know range and angles you shouldn't have a problem with this guy." Chris Eubank :yep Froch want's Kessler by the way... Bute is new, and inexperienced on the scene, but still out boxed Andrade; Kessler's greatest ever win!!
Wow Chris Eubank sure weren't right about that prediction since Calzaghe had to fight very disciplined and fight of his jab more than he usually does to win against Kessler. Eubank was a great boxer, but that does not elevate his words to gospel. Kessler was far more impressive in his performance against Andrade that Bute were so what does that tell you? And Kessler weren't having any trouble fighting of the backfoot against Andrade now did he... And Andrade weren't his best win it was Mundine. Mundine is/was better than Andrade and Kessler had his first title defense against Mundine in Australia after coming back from a serious back injury. Edit: I do not see Kessler vs. Hopkins as a foregone conclusion. I think Kessler will edge Hopkins on workrate, but a prime Hopkins would take Kessler apart.
Despite it being tough early on I thought Calzaghe coasted it.... Kessler made it competitive but no more then some other guys Calzaghe has fought. Personally I didn't see Kessler doing anything too great, in fact I was disappointed in his performance. He ran out of ideas, was unable to adjust or change style, and on the whole was rather clueless after the first few rounds. Robin Reid gave Calzaghe a closer fight. On the issue of Calzaghe bigging up Kessler. He is always going to do that because: a they are mates, and b because a large part of Calzaghes legacy depends on how Kessler is perceived.
Please enlighten me on how Hopkins would do this? Are you basing this of the Pavlik fight cause that is not a valid comparison. As you can see from my previous post I'm not completely convinced that Kessler will take this fight, but I do think he will take a close decision on account of being more active and probably fast enough to tag B-Hop (not as slow and plodding as Pavlik). I do think that a prime B-Hop would take Kessler to school though.
