My balls are shrinking... I've kinda gone from a Kovalev KO to a UD, but I'm still going for my guy (though I ain't picked against BHops in a long time).

    Kovalev will win.

    I have no doubt.

Kovalev is the real deal, and Hopkins' time is up.

  8. This fight is a near-classic opposition of two top fighters with opposing styles.

Kovalev is one of those few punchers; if he hits someone with his best shot, no one can stand up to it. Whatever this guy touches; drops. Hopkins is an elite, skilled, intelligent and crafty boxer. Knows how to play every mind game, knows how to get away with dirty fouls, etc, etc. It might not be pleasant to watch or very respectable, but being that he is older than me and still boxing at an elite level; I can almost forgive it. The style match up is awesome.

This is 2014, not the 1970-1980’s. We get Danny Garcia vs. Rod Salka, not Hagler vs. Hearns, more often than not. Champions are more content with fighting eh fighters instead of the guys who can push them to their limit. Hopkins might just hold three out of four major belts right before the age of fifty. He is taking on a seemingly invincible opponent (granted against eh competition, not Kovalev’s fault) that no other top fighter wanted to face. Hopkins is a guy who is almost 50 and can make you look foolish. Adonis Stevenson ducked this man, Kovalev. Flat out ducked him. And Hopkins is 49 and willing to take the risk.

Respect to both men. I for one, can not wait for November 8th. My most anticipated card of the year.

I'm still favouring Kovalev to win a competitive decision, but I have my doubts. BHop has proven people wrong so many times and unlike with Dawson, Kovalev doesn't have the normal style that gives Hopkins problems.

But Kovalev isn't a Pavlik, Tito, Cloud, Pascal, Tarver like fighter either. He has shown in glimpses when forced back that he has faster feet than these BHop victims. But is it enough, the deciding factor for me is Hopkins age and clear decline.

Whatever happens the result will be significant. Either we have Hopkins make history and gain one of his best wins and add to an already impressive resume or we have a new star and dominant champion in what is becoming an increasingly competitive division.

I honestly cant pick. I have been tricked into betting against hopkins many of times. I was one of the many idiots who picked the ghost to destroy bhop. But I think there will be two differences in this fight than the ghost fight.
    1) Jackson is Kovalevs corner man and from the interviews I have seen, he is making Nards head games one of the main focus' in the fight. That was absolutely HUGE in the pavlik fight.
    2) Kovalev is not Shumenov, Murat, Cloud, or Dawson. Kovalev brings it harder than anyone, but unlike Pavlik, he isnt very sloppy. He is more precise, and every one of his shots seems to have bad intentions.

Kelly had a very sloppy style that had a ton of holes...Problem was he had the heart of a Lion....Until he met BHop. Bhop mocked him, made a fool of him, and taunted him with his style that whole fight. If I remember correctly, wasnt Kelly crying after? He got in Kellys head so hard that it crippled his career. I just dont see that happening with Krusher.

....I might regret picking against Bernard again, and I wouldnt be pissed if he proved me wrong..
