Hopkins vs KOvalev who wins

How long can Hopkins, even with his age friendly style last? I'm going to bet against him. Kovalev will stop him I think. At some point Father time wins.

 

Pascal had Hop hurt. Problem is, Pascal isn't a very good finisher. Kovalev doesn't have that problem. If and when he gets him hurt, he'll finish him.

Pascal is mostly a counter puncher, Hopkins had to open up against him and he did so successfully. He won't need to do the same against Kovalev.

 

Hopkins is going to smother and counter Kovalev all night. Kovalev's last opponent actually made him look foolish at times. Someone on Hopkin's level will exploit those flaws much much more.

 

Very difficult to pick for me, I really have no idea. I'd pick Hopkins against Stevenson easy but against Kovalev it's hard to really say.

Hopkins has proven me wrong time and again but this time I think his age is going to finally catch up to him. He isn't the Hopkins that beat Tarver, he isn't even the Hopkins who beat Pascal, he's slower than he has ever been. He's looked good in recent fights but his opponents were not great and I wasn't impressed by his win over Cloud.

Hopkins winning wouldn't surprise me anymore he's won against the odds too many times for that but Kovalev wins a UD. Hopkins even at this stage has enough skill and smarts to last the distance.

 

Kovalev won't let Hopkins take a minute off every round. IF this fight is made, and that's a big IF, Hopkins gets beat up and probably loses by a TKO.
