Hopkins vs. Kovalev will be the beginning of a new Era

    I have believed Kovalev to be the real deal for a few years, yet many others remain unconvinced. Many people either don't believe, or don't want to believe the coming/current wave of soviet fighters now changing the sport.

    There are people who write off everyone named Klitschko/Golovkin/Lomachenko. Any time a soviet fighter starts to dominate a division, it becomes weak. Will LHW, a division on FIRE, be the same in a year?

    Hopkins represents an old school of boxing. He is about to be retired in emphatic fashion.

    A new power has risen in boxing, and November 8th will turn doubters into believers. Kovalev is the truth.

    We'll see on Nov 8 Everyone said Bernard couldn't beat Trinidad, would get KO'd by Pavlik WRONG!!! Bernard took both to school. Could the Krusher be next for a lesson from Prof Hopkins ???

    That's a pretty sick thing to say to hope Kovolev seriously hurts Hopkins but the worst is calling Bernard Hopkins a punk. Obviously youre not a boxing fan just another child behind a keyboard:patsch

    Idiot... smh Im a veteran member of ESB ( since 05 ) and started posting again recently..

    WHy do i call him a punk? umm maybe because of the way he conducts himself during tough fights such as faking shoulder injuries and nut shots when the going gets tough? That's considered as a ***** move by most honorable man..

    Hopkins is a weasle straight up.. People put him on a pedestal for fighting at an old age but I dont think that's something to praise so much..

    As a fan, i need to be entertained and Hops dont do it for me.. I might watch him on free TV but never would i go out of my way to see him punch and hug his way to decisions..

    He fights like a *****.

    Nope. Headbutt Hopkins is getting put to sleep. His glass body and glass shoulder may get hurt in the process.

    Hopkins can be an inspiration for a lot of young kids. He went to prison, made mistake, and went back on the right track.

    Hopkins is not saying "follow your dream if you really believe in them" and all those bull****. His message is : "be disciplined, work hard, and it will pay in the long run".

    I don't want Hopkins to loose badly and get really.

    But he will loose badly and get really hurt!

    On what exactly you base your assumption that Kovalev is the real deal? He has beat no one, not a single skilled boxer.

    Golovkin is WAY more testead and has fought WAY higher level of competition.

    kovalev is totally UNTESTED so far and a hype job.
