You think this ****** would have ****ed off by now. To answer the question, Hopkins is the better boxer, a defensive master and has a great chin, he'd win by decision.
This is a mismatch. We have a one-dimensional fighter who doesn't know what to do if he can't KO someone, against a crafty technician who's barely taken a clean punch in his career...you do the math!! I'm not sure if we'd have a stoppage or not, but I doubt G-man wins a round.
Hopkins deserves to be the favorite here but lets not go into extreme measures by suggesting that McClellan doesn't win a round.
For Christs sake, stop talking like Hopkins is some indestructable force. One good whippin of Pavlik and Hopkins is P4P best of all time? PLEASE. The nearest Poppy ever came to a power puncher was bloody Howard Eastman AND Poppy legged it the whole fight. If anyone mentions Tito 'microweight' Trinidad then he's an idiot. Poppy SHOULD win on points against them all but at middle I wouldn't be surprised to see Benn, Gerald or Jackson ending it in 6. They were harder punchers than Poppy faced...EVER.
Jones Jnr at 160 hit very, very hard....and lightning fast to boot. He was a far more dangerous proposition than Benn,Jackson or even McClellen imo and he didn't look like stopping Hops,so I doubt any of these blokes are any chance to stop Hopkins either. Matter of fact I'd say Hopkins is likely to beat up,break down and stop all three actually.
