    judge: Al DeVito 114-111
    judge: Paul Gibbs 113-113
    judge: Francisco Hernandez 114-116

notes: vacant IBF middleweight title. Hopkins down in the 5th and the 7th.

Was the 114-116 judge in favor of Hopkins or Mercado?

Hopkin's was down multiple times and it was in Mercado's hometown...

You've got to imagine that it was legitmate.

    Hopkins: 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12
    Mercado: 2, 5 ( 10-8 ), 7 ( 10-8 ), 8, 10
Round 6 could be scored 10-8, as Mercado was hurt several times, and there was a unregistered knockdown.
113-113 or 113-112 in favor of Hopkins

There was also an unregistered knockdown of Mercado in the later rounds, too. 11th, I believe.

Outside of the Kd's against Hopkins, I believe he (B-Hop) legitimately won. Don King was outraged, and said b-Hop stole a draw (in the ring post fight), for whatever that is worth...I believe B-Hop won by a pt. so a draw is not out of the question...Having Mercado winning the fight would amaze me. B-Hop did a better job than JMM (vs pac) in controlling the fight minus the KD's. IMO
