Joe honoring the call his mouth made and his body can't back up would be the best way to put 'everything into perspective'.:deal

Pavlik by KO. PLEASE make it happen. :yep

This fight must happen, Hopkins have not much time to go and it would be inexcusable if Pavlik never fought him.

Seemed evident to me that you think how Hopkins fairs against Pavlik would be an indication about how Pavlik would fair against Joe. What other perspective would you be talking about?:?

I was implying that nobody looks good against Hopkins, and that includes the new poster boy, Kelly Pavlik.

If the ref in the Cal fight had done his job and started deducting points from Bunny Hop, Cal would have looked a lot better. This crap of getting them in the center of the ring and whining he doesn't want to do his job and deduct the points so a fight can break out is bull ****.

These are all valid points imo.

Plus Hopkins may very well spoil Pavlik into a win because I doubt Pavlik has the experience to handle someone as wily as Hopkins who would cancel out Pavliks range with grabs and dirty tricks leaving him with no offensive capability.

Of course he'd hit the canvas. Soon as he needed a rest he'd brush his testicles against Pavliks glove and fling himself to the floor.

    It's a proven tactic...

when i'm judging a fight i put myself in a judges position and i judge on what i see i dont check punch stats i judge on who is the ring general, who lands the cleaner crisper punches and defense i only judge aggression if its effective
btw the punch stats can be deceiving if you can honestly say that you think b-hop got hit with 238 punches you're lying joe didnt really land anything effective until gone the halfway stage

Nope i was drawing parallels with the unedifying spectacle in 1980, of the young formidable Champion pounding on the over the hill ex champ who had been to the well once too often, and this battle
I was alluding to that sad scenario probably being repeated, not comparing the fighters in any talent, style or status way.
    Nice try,but slap yourself instead.

Well, that was my point. IF the ref does his job and makes Hopkins fight instead of stink up the joint, Kelly wins. Otherwise, go MMA rules so the clinch doesn't stop the action. :yep
