Hopkins mugs Shumenov in the ring to win an ugly decision and then, to add insult to injury, steals Shumenov's wallet after the fight.

I have Shumenov winning this.

 

I think he did very well against Murat, but Hopkins critics say otherwise.
Seems we both saw different fights.
I saw Murat holding and fouling to avoid being KO'ed.
They saw a close fight.

 

Good fight.

Beibut wins a couple rounds early and there is a feeling of excitement through the first few rounds.

But then he gasses as always and Hopkins takes most of the final rounds without having to throw a crazy punch output himself.

Hopkins via 8-4 decision.

 

I thunk Shumenov will pull the upset, actually.

 

I thought people said Hopkins was shot or faded or ancient when Calzaghe beat him years ago, when a past best bloated Calzaghe went up in weight to win.
Hopkins has a good LHW win resume of Tarver, Wright, Pavlik, Jones, Pascal, Cloud, Murat and you can never count him out
