In reality, being serious here, how many times has Hopkins needed bought-off judges or corrupt scorecards to win a fight?

I voted no, but only because if the fight did go the distance I believe Hopkins would have come on and done enough to legitimately win the fight without a fix.

BTW, any word yet on how many people watched the fight?

Canelo gets padded rounds by certain judges. Only reason he won the Trout, and Lara fights. How do you think Canelo was given a draw on one scorecard during his fight with Mayweather? Maidana vs Mayweather was only close in the minds of Floyd haters. Unlike Hopkins, Mayweather was clearly scoring, and had effective offense, hell he fought back. Hopkins Smith, had one clear round for Hopkins, one close round, that I gave to Hopkins also. The rest were clear Smith rounds, due to Hopkins not fighting back much, and being more defensive with little to no output. Hopkins made the rounds easy to score. It wasn't like he was matching Smith's work rate. So when you have two judges give the scores that they gave, in a fight that was so easy to score, that needs to be investigated.

I don't think so, no. I don't think 4-3 at the time of the stoppage is terrible, though it's out a round going by tv. If Hopkins had survived the round, the scores would have been Pat Russell 75-75, Tim Cheatham 74-77, Tom Taylor 72-79, I think, which means that post KD, 9,10,11 and 12 would all have to be scored for Hopkins to see him win. Would that have happened? No way to know, but that certainly wasn't the pattern of the scoring before the KD.

Hopkins was getting the benefit of the doubt on the cards, but he was too old to follow through. If somehow he was keeping it close then maybe you can make the claim a robbery was in progress but that assumes that Hopkins could keep it close. A 45 year old Hopkins probably does that, but not at 52. I had the fight 6-1 going into the 8th round, could've been 5-2 at the most because he was landing some clear right hands.

Is that judge's last name is Cheatman. Scripted.
