Outstanding! This is being reported on fightnews as being a realistic possibility.

I can't believe how exciting this is, with Sylvia vs Mercer around the corner, it looks like boxing is BACK!!

I can't get excited about this fight. Hopkins is a top 10 pound for pound fighter. Trinidad is near enough retired and looked fat and slow against Roy Jones. It's easy pickings for Hopkins although it could be sold as a grudge match if it does go ahead.

Well, you are with me on Mercer / Sylvia at least, so that is good.

I just hope HBO will do the right thing and blow it out of the water.

I'd go as far as to say Trinidad shouldn't be allowed to box anymore. He clearly cannot compete at the highest level, so should turn it in.

Jones, who is shot to ****, owned the guy 15 months ago.

Hopkins arguably beat Calzaghe, who subsequently embarrassed Jones, while just prior to that Hopkins made Pavlik look like a small child.

This one shouldn't happen. End of.

    This is very sad news.

    I'm a huge Tito fan, but wtf...:patsch

Ah well, I might get used to the idea of Trinidad-Hopkins II.

Don King is a **** for making fights like this though.

Joke fight. I would rather Bernard retire than take this.

How about if Taylor beats Froch and Hopkins matches Taylor again? That would be good.

I'm in with the majority here & agree Hopkins should win this fight.
But I can't hide the fact that B-Hop WILL turn old over night out of the blue....
(Even freaks of nature have to pay sometime)

I'm just glad to hear of Trinidad no longer fighting @ LHW...
Why not I'm down to see Felix again.

My thoughts exactly..........I actually watched his fight with Vargas and the "track meet" with DLH yesterday, and he's definitely not that fighting maching anymore:bart

This is the era of bull**** fights.Roy Jones fighting Omar Skeika, DeLaHoya-Pacquio, the proposed Mayweather-Marquez and Holyfield-Tyson 3...and now pulling Trinidad from the crypt. But the people who buy into this crap are the ones perpetuating this trend. If Mayweather, the so called all time great and pound for pound king ,can get paid for fighting a lightweight that was fighting at 130 not too long ago, instead of fighting Paul Williams, why take the harder fight?

B-hop, Tito, and Don King should all play Russian Roulette with a full chamber for even considering this fight, much less making it happen..

Legal sadism. Even harder to swallow than Calzaghe/RJJ.

if tito can come back and make the fight at 160 i'll give him the benefit of doubt but above that he looks slugish, fat and slow. but if he can make the fight between 160-165 lbs i'll give him that chance
