Prime 4 prime 160 15 rds as always.
Could Hop dictate the tempo and pace and make Valdez fight his type of fight or does Valdez aggressive boxing and power punching force Hop into a uncomfortable position.
    I c no stoppage here.
    What do u think??

Valdez would have been very capable of decking and hurting Hopkins. Hopkins, on the other hand, would have been very capable of outpointing Valdez....and all of this really means nothing in the context of a fight where both were at their best. I agree with Robert, in that I don't believe that there would have been a stoppage.

Hopkins beat up Tito who was a true Super Welter moving up. Valdez was a true middleweight with equal power that Tito had. Hopkins by SD.

Hopkins by comfortable decision. He would indeed impose his style here.

Valdez was like Liston in that when he had his big fights ( Ali vs Liston )
he was really past his prime. ( Monzon vs Valdez ) Valdez was a huge
puncher who hit much harder than Tito ( Ring Magazine 29th in boxing
greatest punchers ) . I will go against the trend and say Valdez does
what other big punchers Tito and Pavlik can't do and out punches Hopkins
    on pts.

Hopkins on points but it's a bitterly fought fight. The decision s split and not popular.
