lol no way He'll say: I wanted to go there(Romania) but then i was thinking ... What about the Vampires?!?
Hopkins choose the worst time possible to challenge Bute. Lucian has to fight the winner of Bika-Brinkley. He was suppose to make that mandatory title defense in July but HBO wants him on the same telecast as Pascal-Dawson on August 14. Perhaps they should simply put both Bute-Hopkins and Pascal-Dawson on the same card in Montreal and move the mandatory title defense in december is the IBF is okay with it. (Could give Bika or Brinkley a little step aside money).
Even if Hopkins performs as well as he did against Pavlik, I don't think he can beat Bute. Around one-and-a-half, two years ago, Bute was desperate to fight Hopkins. I am sure he still is, given the chance. But for everything Hopkins has said, I don't think he is really interested in fighting Bute. One day he wants to fight Haye, the next he wants to fight Bute... in a week's time he'll want to fight Adamek.... and then, Danny Green! Hopkins will probably retire next anyway. If he doesn't, he should!
I don't think it matters what or who Bernard wants.I don't think anyone would pay for a Hopkins-Bute fight.
This would be a great fight and people are being way to harsh on Hopkins. The man is 45, cut him some slack, he is only two fights removed from embarrassing the current middleweight champion who was nearly half his age and now he wants to fight another (better) top rated fighter.
of course ive seen him. hence he fact im not that impressed. he got lucky vs andrade the first go around and beat him soundly the second go around. those are his best wins. andrade is not high level. but time will tell how far Bute will go. still dont see him touching ward tho
