Hopkins could get seriously hurt if he fights Froch. Unless Froch held back. If Froch fights like he did against Bute, Hopkins would get beaten to a pulp.

It's like no one wants to try to land a big shot against Hopkins anymore. And i'm not hating on Hopkins. He hasn't been in a real fight since Roy Jones in 2010 and the first Pascal fight. (the second Pascal fight was a very impressive performance by Hopkins to his credit - and that stands out to me as his best performance in recent years)

The Cloud fight and the Dawson fights were like glorified sparring sessions. You never got the impression that either Dawson or Cloud was trying to hurt Hopkins. Part of that is their style, but Froch has real punching power.

At what weight would this fight be fought at? You'd have to believe it would be Froch to go up to Light Heavy, unless they could meet at a catch weight.

Hopkins is a bigger and better fighter than Bute, and far tougher.

Like he went after Ward, Bhop would school Froch, he hasn't beat Kessler yet.

This would be extremely interesting and both guys deserve the money it would generate. Both gym rats with clean lifestyles, both guys are well-spoken and know their boxing. Froch has the roughness and power to trouble Hopkins, and he isn't going to be afraid to use it. Froch also has bottomless conditioning. Hopkins has the ability to just shut you down. I would buy this on PPV.

Funny how both Ward and Hopkins want to fight Froch, but not Kessler! :D

Hopkins is very old... is he still able to keep Froch out of range all night? Froch is not Cloud. I can see Froch winning against Hopkins but I see why Hopkins think he can win against him.

Hopkins thought the same thing about Dawson though... The old man is older than he thinks.

This would be one ugly ass fight.

Providing Froch beats Kessler (which is no given) then this might sell very well over here, but I don't think it's one the casual is going to enjoy all that much.

I see an uglier fight than Calzaghe-B-Hop and probably harder to score. Hopkins with low output trying to make it ugly, Froch winging away like a mad man hitting air.

    Froch getting underrated here.
Todays Hop is good but not that good.
Dawson handled him easy and Froch is a lot more aggressive and has a higher workrate.
Froch already beat Pascal, Talyor and would steamroll Cloud.
Froch closes him down late and stops him.

I'm surprised no one is really mentioning that Froch has made it clear he's staying at 168 as well.
Can Bernard do 168 at this point?

Probably a catch weight..I dont like Hop targeting lower weight guys...He has to be lacking confidance or else he just wants to avoid Cleverly like the plauge.

Froch should keep away from Hopkins imo
