He desperately wanted a way out. Proof he knew inside that he was on his way to a dominant loss. I fully believe he realized only at the last split-second that it wouldn't look convincing if he fell out of the ring at that particular moment. He never found another chance.

He loss the fight and gave Chad his props. Stop raining on him like that. He's fought everyone he was suppose to fight over the yrs. and he's had an amazing career.

I remember thinking this at the time. Glad I wasn't the only one.

I made the exact same observation when I was watching it live.

He was going to do a cintron but at the last minute he remembered the **** he pulled in the last fight and realised he'd already played his trap card

I am 100% certain if the fiasco in the first fight didn't happen, and this fight played out in exactly the same manner, you would have seen him fly through those ropes like Rey Mysterio Jr.

    Bernard still a G though

Hopkins was thinking about it, i think his pride stopped him because he felt he still had a chance.

Yep I though the same thing. Glad it wasn't just me, but I really think he was going to jump out but like someone else said, he probably though the ropes were closer and midway through his stunt he realized "****, isnt gonna look convincing".
I really thought Bernard was going to pull a Hopkins.

im went the "would have done it, but it wasnt convincing enough" crowd. It would have looked rediculous if he went through considering how far he was
