HBO Said Calzaghe's weight the night of the fight was 182 pounds. Hopkins did not step on the scale but looked at least 10 pounds heavier than Calzaghe. How much do you think Hopkins was on fight night?
Hopkins never comes into training camp 10lbs over the weight limit, so you can bet hes pretty near the limit on fight night
I believe 182 is exactly what Hopkins weighed on the night of the Tarver fight, and he looked pretty much the same to me now. As for him looking 10 pounds heavier then Calzaghe, he looked heavier at the official weigh-in too but they both weighed in at 173. I hink they weighed pretty much the same in the ring.
I think Hopkins wasl in the high 180's last night. Which leads me to this question. Would Hopkins be best served as a Crusier Weight?
I think bernard looked quite big in the shoulders and arms. Its all that weight work with mackie shilstone. I wonder if this affects his stamina? He is still is effective because of his skills and vast experience,and im sure he could fight effectively at cruiser as well.
