Hopkins will beat Pavlik

Pavlik is a good fighter in an average division.

 

You guys better tell Hopkins he needs to throw more then 3 punches per round!:hi:

 

Hopkins rolls punches well and is a smooth counter puncher but......... Kelly has an excellent jab good defensean should have no problem with B-hops counters. He did fine against taylor who has more speed and power at this stage.. Hopinks only chance is on the inside where he has no stamina to do.. Pavlik will KTFO out of hopkins cause once he gets tired after the 5th bombs will be landing! Stamina will win kelly this fight..

 

Pavlik has very obvious strengths and very obvious flaws, that is the worst possible thing against Hopkins, who knows how to take away those strengths and expose those flaws. Also, what would Pavlik be without the jab and the power? He'd throw a lot of punches, relatively easy to hit, and what appears to be not the sturdiest of chins. Pavlik isn't going to be landing the jab nearly at all aginst Hopkins (if B-Hop is at least 50% the fighter he was 10 years ago), and although he is very powerfull, I don't see him having enough to seriously hurt Hopkins at 170lbs. If Bernard looks like every other 44 year old fighter, than yes, Pavlik stops him due to accumulation, but he isn't going to truly hurt B-Hop with just one or two punches at a time.

This is a bad style match for Pavlik, all that matters in my opinion is can Hopkins still do what he knows how to do. If so, he wins, if not he loses.

 

i am so relieved this fight has happened, now all the pavlik nuthuggers/calzaghe haters will realise how difficult hopkins is too fight, and yes i agree hopkins will win

The Calzaghe huggers will be praying for a Bhop win to rationalize Joe's decision to take on a fighter he himself has called SHOT. Calzaghe suddenly 'hinted' he might fight once more at 168 AFTER this fight was announced, hoping that Bhop will take Kelly and thereby save face for his decision. Pathetic. And wrong.

 

October and November are going to be FANTASTIC months for boxing fans the world over. By the time Pavlik and Taylor get through with Hopkins and Lacy, Slappy Joe's so called "legacy" will be in tatters.

 

Pavlik SD! Hopkins' ass is owned by Young Taylor, JC, RJJ and Pavlik! Damn, more mens own his ass than own Pam Anderson's!

Maybe I thought Hopkins would beat Calzaghe but you never know Hopkins may let you down

 

coming from a huge hopkins fan, i don't see it happening. Hope i'm wrong but i doubt it.
