I disagree, that's not going to be the case here. Jones is finished, we're going to see better fights if Joe is to stay around.

Yeah, Jones is finished, so what? People will be told: look what he did in the last fight...he KDed the legendary Tito 3 times! Come and watch Joe humiliate the monster! (Average Joe will love it! They just want to see Joe win impressively more than they want to see Joe fight hard fights and win.) If the Bhops fight is not stunning, and it won't be...alas!...Joe will want to give them a performance to remember...RJJ would be the perfect guinea pig.

What better fights are we going to see instead? Pavlik won't go up if he wins. Certainly won't go up if he loses. Taylor not a draw if he loses. If he wins, he'll not want Joe anyway...not much of a draw in any case...Dawson is all booked with Johnson and then Diaconu...not a NAME, not a draw..."who the hell is Dawson", low reward/high risk...

...Clinton Woods? Hmmm...Maybe...:think...but not the same ring on Joe's resume...

Ah, the B-Hop fight will be an impressive wipe out.

Hopefully. But I reckon it'll largely depend on the Taylor/Pavlik scrap. If Pavlik wins, I can see him going back down to 160. That would leave the quite big possiblity of a Jones fight. But, if Taylor pulls it off, then i'd imagine it'll rekindle interest in a fight with Calzaghe.

Let's hope so...let's hope there's nothing the ref can do to stop that.

Didn't Taylor duck Joe before? Would he go for it now, after being KOed by Pavlik?:think

Roy Jones is not finished until somebody can put him out again. Providing Calzaghe beats Hopkins, a fight with Roy is still a very exciting fight and good for Cal's legacy and bank account.

Why not? He'll be after fighting Pavlik at 166 and the biggest money fight out there for him after that (should he win) will be JC. He dosen't have to fear about losing his undefeated record as it's now gone. That's a weight off his shoulders and no one else at 168 can bring him the respect and money that JC can. Not even Kessler. Although in saying all that, should he lose the rematch with Pavlik, I think he'll retire from the sport altogether.

The only thing the ref is going to have to do is count Joe's ass out when he gets Executed.

Richard Schaefer is tryin to anticipate to Roy Jones Jr at all costs ahn? So much BS has been blasted out by GBP quarters, Frank Warren, Boxing sites and media, Joe C and B-Hop themselves, so many names have been put on the line - RJJ, Clinton Woods, Winky Wright - that I will only comment on that fight when it is announced officially. It is pretty awful to be shooting in the dark and that is all what has been happening for too long now. Seems to me that Tuesday is gonna be a Super Tuesday...

Calzaghe must have a big old smile on his face. He's going to get a lot of money and exposure trashing Hopkins and Jones. He's going to retire them for good.
