I know you were talking about Kessler. I am talking about Calzaghe on a Calzaghe thread. Idiots tell me he can punch. I seen him in his prime and he cant punch. And you know why the dingbat breaks his hands...do you .....no..not from no early injury..HE CANT THROW A PUNCH PROPERLY.

Pavlik has WAY more power. Tito hits harder then Calzaghe too. I am waiting for his fan club to post his highlights of this so called power so I can laugh my ass of. I seen his highlight knockouts. They came from one or two things. The guy he is fighting going into a shell out of frustration. Or a shot under the chin. He can put a punch on the right spot against a defensless bum. But he has not stopped ONE quality guy.

I wouldn't disagree that he has better p4p power than Kessler, but I'm not trying to argue Kessler is a knock out artist. Simply that your initial statement that he is feather fisted is well off base

By that logic Kessler has a very respectable KO ratio

Also when you consider the 2 very good fighters in either fighters resume, Cintron didn't bother Margarito at all, whereas Kessler got Joe's attention on occasions

All in all it was an inaccurate statement and your logic doesn't hold up under scrutiny. I'm not going to argue how good Kessler is, its old ground, and we'll find out soon enough

Yes, but he dosen't need KO power to beat Hopkins. Just his handspeed and footwork coupled with his astounding workrate. The man will beat Hopkins in a dirty scrapy fight. But he will in fact, win. Jones couldn't KO Hopkins, so what chance does Calzaghe have. The only way a stoppage is happening here, is if/when Hopkins has taken too much of a beating and is too tired to continue. Even that's doubtful.

    Calzaghe UD 12.

Would you agree that if Mijares KOs PBF, the whole WW division is crap?

Also, the tickets prices should be reasonable. No astronomical ticket prices like the PBF - Hatton fight.

Pointless question really, because I don't forsee anything of the sort happening. Not even in my worst nightmares

If it did happen, I would be more likely to revise my opinion of Hopkins (which isn't as high as most) rather than call Joe a bum

Mate, if it happened, it would only happen if Joe became worse over night and Hopkins better...not likely, even with a ref and judges favouring Bhops.

Well clearly Joe wouldn't be as great as I thought, to lose to a 43 year old I never rated as highly as most!

However he clearly wouldn't be a bum, my definition of a bum is very different to yours it seems. A bum for me is a guy that turns up, loses, and collects his pay cheque

I feel dirty to even consider this outlandish possibility

Plenty of nuthuggers for a lot of boxers including Calzaghe. But you do realise you make it worse by doing the exact opposite, don't you? Constantly running down European fighters is gonna bring out the worst in some people. The man has proved he has no peer at 168. That's a division cleared out. What more do you want? You continue to call him mediocre and a bum, yet point to Americas best fighters (in or around the weight class) as being the only ones who could beat him. That dosen't really make sense my good man:good

Unlikely JC will fight Pavlik, unless he does indeed move up. Personally, I think Pavlik will go back to 160 for a couple more fights, unless he really can't make it. However, if Taylor pulls off the upset, then that's a fight I can see being made for after Hopkins. Taylor won't bother fighting Pavlik again to win the titles back off him and he's not gonna fight at middle unless he's a belt to defend, imo. He's in it for the money (more than most, I think:D ) and Calzaghe will be the biggest fight out there for him.
