Seriously, Hopkins only chance in this one is winning a close decision, and no way will he get the nod.

I can't believe some of you believe Hopkin will beat Pavlik. LOL Kelly outfought the Miranda, which nobody thought he could do. He KO'd Taylor which nobody said he could do, and then in the return he again did what everyone said he couldn't do... he outboxed him.
Style wise Pavlik is a nightmare for Hopkins because Pavlik fights a disciplined fight from long range behind a potent, busy, and accurate jab. Which is inevitably followed by a crushing right hand. Pavlik will be the first to stop Hopkins. Hopkins best chance for voctory at his age and with his style would be against face first str8 ahead brawlers. Hopkin loses to another "whiteboy" this time by KO.

    This is just plain WRONG!

A lot of people were giving Pavlik a good chance against Taylor.

He might, but I think you're selling Hopkins a little short, although regardless, he is not going to beat Kelly.

Nahhh. Having been a long-time fan of Hopkins, I would love to see him go out with a big win against a young gun, but it ain't gonna happen.

Pavlik is getting better with each passing fight, whereas, Hopkins is just getting older.

No way! If he is in a fight that close, there is NO WAY they are going to give Hopkins the nod.

    Never, ever, NEVER!

An interesting note is the respect factor. Pavlik is fighting a legend and he may be more reluctant to let it all out as he did in his last fight. Bhop lost the fight with Calzaghe only because he did not throw enough punches. It was an ugly fight to say Calzaghe won. Oscar is one of the few fighters who gave "legends" the same style he would give other opponents (Camacho, Chavez etc.)

I think you're doing this in hoping your curse works once more

But I agree. Pavlik has the same attributes as Calzaghe, and maybe throws MORE punches and punches harder. It's tough to see Hopkins beating him, even though I thought he nudged Calzaghe last fight. He showed that age was catching up with him.

But then again...Hopkins has something Pavlik does not have at all, which is experience. I can't think of anyone who is nearly the same style as Hopkins who Pavlik has fought...Hopkins can take what went wrong in the Calzaghe fight (mainly his stamina and letting Calzaghe land his pitpat flurries) and make it work.

I really hope Hopkins kicks his ass, somehow. Hopkins is the smartest fighter i've ever seen in the ring.

Pretty much. I thought he was jobbed in the first Taylor fight and against Calzaghe. The second Taylor fight was close.
