"Hopkins won't get KO'ed!" He sure won't; it wouldn't be that kind of stoppage!

When people are predicting Calzaghe by stoppage in the late rounds, they don't mean by KO; they mean by accumulation, leading to a TKO or to a retirement or even to a DQ born out of frustration at not keeping up wth the pace, workrate and pressure.

Just thought this point needed to be made, because too many people assume stoppage = KO.

He could still KO him... Did you watch the "thing on a string" he did with Byron Mitchell? Or that he nearly knocked down Kessler, who has never been down in his life(save for a few secs in an amateur fight).

But what you are saying is probably gonna be the way he will be knocked out - if he is - that is.

I think Hopkins will make this an ugly match, because he is experienced enough to do so.

Yeah, he could, but it is very unlikely, given the way Hopkins is going to approach this fight and his style.

Your best bet is corrupt judges.

I think the ref will play a bigger role than the judges.

Stupid judges. Enzo's first camp in the US going tits up. Joe fighting a bloody-minded fight. Hopkins getting lucky.

    This combination would also help.

But let me make myself crystal - Joe by close but clear decision.

We only speak the truth - if that pisses him off, then he belongs under the category "You can't handle the truth!!!".

Yeah, we're setting ourselves up for a big fall, but people laughed at Amsterdam when he picked Mayweather by TKO in the 9th against Hatton too...:deal

We're setting nothing up, Calzaghe NEVER loses, do you guys understand this concept.

If he is not dead shot, he will never lose to the current competition, there are no RJJ level fighters running about right now.

    ....

People laughed at Amsterdam when he picked -

    Calzaghe 12-0 Lacy.:yep

    Quintana UD12 Williams.:yep

Hopkins dominating UD Tarver.:yep (****, I wish the forum wasn't erased, I made a thread a month before the fight about this).

Collazo UD Hatton, didn't get it, but everyone else was picking Hatton by mid rounds KO, I said Collazo could absolutley beat him and he lost by a ****ing point!:yep

Pavlik KO 5 Taylor in the first fight. Granted, some picked Pavlik, but most went with Taylor and laughed when I said that Pavlik would be winning the jabbing battle, which he did.:yep

    Smug, smug, smug, smug.:yep

Nah, we've all made **** picks, I have some awful ones clocked, but I certainly know what I'm talking about in regards to Bernard Hopkins and Joe Calzaghe, two fighters I've followed.

No, I meant the stoppage pick; of course he won't lose.
