Some facts and opinions about the fight

    1. Kelly should never fight again at 170 +. Never.
    2. Hopkins is such a master at breaking the rythm of the other fighter, that was just amazing.
    3.Hopkins would beat Kessler too.
4.I want to see Dawson vs Hopkins.
    5. Props to the slapper, really his performance vs Hopkins is now better.

But still, TFFP, you are a cocksucker:hey

Seriously, awesome display of Hopkins, that was beautiful for boxing fan.

Kelly wasnt exposed, dont fool your self, his weight is 160lbs and good fight are there for him with Abraham ect.

I have changed my opinion on that, I think Hopkins would beat Kessler too. Mainly because neither Calzaghe nor Pavlik's jab did ****, and that is Mikkel's weapon.

I don't think Kessler would get beaten that badly, he does not walk forward and play into Hopkins hands.

the fact that Kessler is one dimentional too would make him lost, like vs Calzaghe.
Dawson is the one who could beat Hopkins at that weight.

Hopkins beat Kessler no doubt. It wouldn't be as wide as last night, but it would be clear and unanimous. There are only 2 fights left for Hopkins: Dawson and Calzaghe. I very much hope it is the latter.

no he was exposed...it's not that he lost, its the WAY he lost

he was absolutely dominated from begging to end...did he look the undefeated middleweight champion the world to you?

did he look the 6th best pound for pound fighter in the world to you????

hell no....this wasn't like Cotto-Margarito where cotto's putting on a exhibition but then gets broken down by the bigger opponent

this was Calzaghe-Lacy....a young, strong, overhyped fighter, getting taken to school and then some.....by an much older opponent

dont give me that 170 weight bull**** either, i understand this wasnt his best weight but ****......the boy was EXPOSED

and by the way, yes Kessler would get exposed too....

I agree about Kessler. Kessler is too straight up.

I disagree about Pavlik fighting at this weight. Pavlik needs to pick up the pieces after this but he's a naturally big middleweight and he can definitely have some success at 168lbs in the future. I mean who's there really? He just came up against a master at the top of his game.

kessler is a much better boxer fundamentally he would give hopkins fits.

I think the main problem is Kessler would be standing his distance just trying to jab, but always falling short. Then Hopkins would do his charging in, landing a few quick shots and then tieing up on the inside. This would just happen over and over again I think. I prefer Kessler's defence to Pavlik, and stylistically he does not march forward into counters like Pavlik, and also he's a stronger guy. Pavlik got bullied on the inside. Still, overall its going to be a clear points win for Hopkins.

Kessler vs. Pavlik is a more interesting fight if Pavlik recovers sufficiently.

Kessler has never fought anyone near Hopkins except Calzaghe as saw what happened. Kessler has gone back to fighting Euros with guys like Sartison. And Pavlik with KTFO that Euro bum Kessler.

if you think the 170 lbs dont matter, then you are a fool. 10 pounds is big for a fighter, its NOT his weight. I dont underrate Hopkins, not at all, he was the better man by far, but Kelly wasnt in his element, no shame in that

Im a huge Kessler fan and before this fight I would have disagreed with you. But after seeing Hopkins look so young and active I think you're right.

Kessler as a good boxer but lacks that real natural instinct like Hopkins and Calzaghe have. I think that is his weakness.
