Hopkins would school kessler without a doubt. Kessler sets everything up with a jab(sounds familiar?pav) When the jab has been takin from him bernard can stand in front and fight him straight up like he did pav. Calz is much more easy to hit then bernard so that explains the early round kessler took from him. kessler is not fast and his workrate does not compete with joe or any of the best in boxing today. Its easy for kessler to go in a defensive mode when he being attacked just like when joe did it but kessler didnt know how to strike back effectively. *TOO EASY TOO PICK THIS FIGHT BUDDY:smoke *

Agreed. Kessler is superior to Pavlik in almost every way.

With as many times that ESB'ers are comparing Pavlik to Kessler...I don't think many have actually seen Kessler fight. Holy ****! They are totally different fighters and Kessler is far superior in every department.

And Kessler v Hopkins? It would be an awesome fight. Kessler's footspeed/footwork would not allow it to be a Hopkins/Pavlik replay. In addition, Kessler can win a fight without coming forward...Pavlik can't. It played perfectly into Hopkins hands.

Kessler is nowhere near as robotic as Pavlik, and is more faster and crisper with his shots. Still not sure if he'd be able to land flush on Hopkins a lot, but he would definitely put him out of the rythm that he was in against Pavlik.

Kessler would also handle the weight better, and would force Hopkins to lower his workrate. Hopkins would be made to go on the defensive a lot more. He'd look nothing like the fighter he did against Pavlik.

    Kessler UD imo.

If you want to respond to my post, then respond to my arguments - please dont just rerun your own. Need i say I disagree, Hop could win but to me its more a 50/50 kinda thing. By the way Kessler workrate aint that bad, dont compare it to Calzaghes as a standard, that absurd.
