Oh yeah but Pascal should stir of Cloud because of his shitty stamina. "The Black Russian", Ismayl Sylkkah or whatever his name is would beat Cloud too.
Here's the thing. Hopkins would outsmart Cloud and beat him pretty easily. Cloud would probably knock out Dawson. Dawson might outpoint Hopkins. Eat ****, ABC logic. :yep
Would be boring, brilliant, and perfect. Hopkins does things that way. My heart rarely jumps while watching B-Hop, but I sure watch close. The man is brilliant plain and simple.
I've never been impressed by Cloud. I think he would lose to Hopkins, Pascal, Dawson, Bute, Froch, Ward, Pavlik, Johnson in a rematch. He could beat Abraham, but I can't see him beating anyone better than AA. Cloud's days as a world titlist are numbered, and it is not a large number.
WOULD beat him is a little strong(talking about the SMWs, not Hopkins). I suppose they all COULD beat him, but I suspect I'd favor him in a few of those matchups. Who are your top 6-7 SMWs?
Ya -- okay -- I'll buy your argument that "could" is a more appropriate term than "would." There are always a ton of variables involved in a boxing match. The top 6-7 SMW? For a variety of reasons I think Froch, Ward, and Bute are interchangeable in the top 3 spots. I'd probably put Kessler at #4 even though he beat Froch. He's was out for awhile, his tune-up opponent was no "world-beater," and I tend to agree with those who think Mikkel has lost a half a step. At the moment it looks like there is a bit of a gap between #4, and the start of the next grouping. I'd have Johnson and Pavlik at #5 and #6 even though I think Johnson might be to big, tenacious, and durable for Pavlik to deal with before a couple more fights. There is another gap after this, but this one is not a small gap!
Yeah Hopkins movement and defensive skills would pose big issues for Cloud. Cloud would all too often find himself out of range with nothing to hit while being picked off from the outside and even when he does get close Hopkins will smother his work. Cloud impressed me with his performance against Johnson who even at such a late stage of his career is still very good. But Hopkins won't be there to be hit like Johnson and Cloud is yet to prove he can handle a fighter who doesn't just stand in front of him to be hit.
He could but Cloud could win. I saw Hopkins hurt a couple of times against Pascal and Cloud has way power.
I think Cloud's power is seriously over-rated. That's why I keep bringing up Zuniga. Cloud should have been able to stop an old, fat, and battle worn middleweight.
Well I dont. He didnt land alot of clean shots against Mack but when he did Mack felt that power and got on his horse. PPL think he should've stoped an old Glen Johnson too but you see Johnson took Froch's shots preety good too. Cloud hits harder then Pascal, I believe that for sure. Now that doesnt mean Cloud can beat Hopkins but was knockdown by Pascal twice and was hurt a couple times in the rematch. a young, hungry Cloud might cause some problems for 46 hopkins, or 47 if they fight next year
