Hopkins would beat the **** out of Cloud!

Surely Hopkins cant keep banging out these great peformances again and again now that he`s 46. I know a wbo white boy that could beat him though :yep

 

Even if you think Cloud punches a lot harder than Pascal (a premise I don't fully buy into), the latter clearly has much better handspeed and that more than anything else gave Hopkins problems IMO.

 

In my opinion, Cloud is underrated. He did a hell of a fight against Johnson, he did better than Froch Imo and I'm a huge Froch fan.

Fighter are as good as what they fight, Cloud has all the tools for a step-up. I'm a Pascal supporter, but Pascal should really respect Cloud in a match-up.

Cloud beside defensive, has alot of tools on his bag. Chin, Power in both hands, huge stamina, willingness, speed...

 

Honestly from the SMWs you mentioned, the only guys I would clearly favor over Cloud would be Ward and Bute. I'd give Cloud a better than decent chance at beating the rest.

 

I think pascal beats cloud decisively too. If Mack didn't have a
cheese chin and no stamina he'd of beat cloud last night. Pascal
moves as much as mack w/ alot more power and speed and won't
tire in the mere half of the fight. Pascal is next for cloud as he was
present at last nights card, while hopkins has his hands full with
bad chad. The winner of these two contests should meet once
again for the lightheayweight championship of the world.

 

Cloud beats Hopkins in a similar manner that JT did if not by KO. Hopkins would night be fighting a head down lunging fighter in Cloud like he did with Pascal. Add to that that Cloud doesn't have stamina issues, look at the toe to toe war with Johnson, better power, better ring IQ, and more power than the other fighters he has faced at 175.

There is a reason you will no see Hopkins try to fight Cloud.

 

Haven't seen last nights fight yet but I have been saying this for a while now, I would prefer this than the current Dawson matchup

Mack was beating Cloud with that stick and move style. It's just unfortunate for him that he can't handle getting hit.

I'd say Dawson has a better set of whiskers than Mack, a lot more speed and stamina too. I can see Dawson frustrating Cloud for most of the night, even though Cloud would land some good shots to swing a few rounds his way.

Hopkins idk. It wouldn't surprise me if Hopkins beat him, but Cloud could probably take it on activity if he stayed up in Hopkins face all night and kept the fight on the inside. Wasn't terribly impressed with Cloud's ability to cut off the ring though.

I think Johnson deserves a rematch. That was a fun fight and it was definitely close.

Unification match with Cleverly would be guaranteed action. Wouldn't be surprised to see either guy stop the other. I'm feeling Cleverly on points though.

Pascal is the fight I want to see. I want to know what Pascal's made of, and it'd be a good measuring stick to see how Cloud would do with Dawson and Hopkins.
