Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe decisively in a rematch. Yes/No?

what ? get serious style has nothing to do with it pascal is not a good fighter the guys tired after 3 rounds telegraphs his punches has no movement no plan b or c any semi decent boxer can outbox him even carl froch did.

The man was handily beaten by carl froch who himself is slow and unskilled he gets by on his chin and fitness/toughness.

Calzaghe's style can't be beaten decisively unless a KO occurs and the chances to that are extremely low. To beat Calzaghe it has to be in a close, tough and ugly fight.

Anyway, YES Hopkins had problems with Calzaghe because of his awkward swarming style. Skilled boxers hate pressuring, awkward boxers.

No way, Calzaghe looked sluggish that night in his first fight up at 175, no doubt he;d have been much sharper in any rematch.

Took a while for Calzaghe to figure Hopkins out, alot longer than it usually took him, but he got there in the end and a rematch would of been an easier night for Joe, and ofcourse there wouldnt be a bag of **** Joe Cortez in there to be ridiculously one sided.

Had Hopkins not fought like John Ruiz in the first fight with all the holding, clinching, grabbing, wrestling, faking low blows etc. he probably would have lost every round. Hopkins ruined that fight with his illegal tactics.

There's a good chance Calzaghe outslaps him a second time and then it depends on what the judges are looking for. If it's crisp punches Hopkins wins (and based on that he won the first fight too) but if it's sheer work rate (which is fair too) it'd be Calzaghe once more.

calzaghe v hopkins with a neutral referee borders on a mis-match. theres a very high chance that hopkins would have got lacyied.

Calzaghe has admitted himself that he cut corners in his preperation, Calzaghe is all wrong for Hopkins, he can out-adapt Bhop, he can outfight Bhop. I mean Hopkins is the greater fighter no doubt but head to head he always loses to Joe.

:lol::lol: America just cant stand the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins.
    Live with it, it happend.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins in America, with 3 American judges and Cortez as the ref, at a new weight, landing more on Hopkins than anyone ever, having Hopkins holding trying to get time out, denying Hopkins his usual strong finish, all sandwiched between Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik :smoke

Lets remember Hopkins has nobody on his resume as good as Eubank and undefeated Kessler, and then Calzaghe has the win over Hopkins also.

Live with it and accept it that Calzaghe beat Hopkins, Jones and Americas 2 best SMWs of the decade :smoke
