Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe decisively in a rematch. Yes/No?

Problem for you guys is when I ask you to specify which 6 or 7 rounds you believe Hopkins won, you won't be consistent and chances are you won't have an answer.

    At best, you can give Hopkins 1, 3, 4, 6 and 11.
At worst, you can give him 1, 4 and 11.

Throwing alot of punches is one thing but landing them is another. There is no way Calslappy won at least 7 rounds which he would have to do since he was knocked down in the first round. Hopkins won in ring generalship, power punches, higher percentage connect, defense and making Joe C fight at his pace. Most experts had B-Hop winning!

How did you see Hopkins having ring generalship?
he was beaten to the punch almost everytime after round 3.
Faking low blows is not what i would call ring generalship

no-one else gonna comment on that fairly blatant & obviously intentional headbutt that b-hop uses to set up that punch?

a better/less corrupt ref would have done something about his tactics in that match.

i have no idea why anyone would want to see a rematch of this **** fight anyway. sour grapes probably.

The WBO is like the IBa title is today when Joe C won it. So, therefore his competition was very suspect and if he had one of the major belts at the time he would not have been undefeated (or highly unlikely) because stiffer comp would have gave him problems.

Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins in every single round of the fight, check the stats if you dont believe me, Calzaghe threw more power punches and connected with more power punches than Hopkins, Calzaghe had a higher percentage success rate for power punches as well {not that higher percentage has anything to do with it}, Calzaghe also threw more jabs than Hopkins and connected with more jabs and had a higher percentage success rate, obviously combined {power punches and jabs} Calzaghe threw more punches, landed more punches and had a higher success rate.

Its not even close on the stats. Calzaghe hit Hopkins over 100 times more than Hopkins hit Calzaghe, the final score being Calzaghe landing 232 punches on Hopkins and Hopkins landing 127 punches on Calzaghe, boxing scoring is by rounds and Calzaghe outlanded Hopkins in every single round of the fight.

Wrong, most experts (80% of press row, most of the fighters) had Calzaghe winning. Stop revising history.

Tell me the six rounds you give to Hopkins, so I can laugh in your ****ing face and point out the rounds where Hopkins landed less than ten while Calzaghe (with his ugly style) landed 25-30

Calzaghe wins the rematch more decisively. It was his first fight at 175, his first fight in the States. He wasn't completely comfortable like he was for the Jones fight. The rematch would have been in Wales, another plus for Joe. He would win comfortably in the rematch. But disagree all you want, the fact is Joe still beat BHop. Deal with it...

...no. This is just another pathetic **** weak attempt to discredit Sugar Joe's historical title reign. The wbo 168lb title has been legit since the beginning. There were no imaginary major titles or stiffer competition out there who Calzaghe didn't face, so let's stop bullshitting shall we.

Do you shiteaters honestly believe that if you repeat the same lie enough times, eventually people will believe it?

One outlet of BBC ( television ) scored for Hopkins.
BBC Radio and BBC News both scored for Calzaghe.

    AP scored for Calzaghe.
    Lederman scored for Calzaghe.
    ESPN scored for Calzaghe.
    Maxboxing scored for Calzaghe.
    NY Times scored for Calzaghe.

PS, BBC is English, Calzaghe is Welsh - I understand for you that's hard to grasp, but effectively, you calling Calzaghe an english man is like someone calling me a Mexican because we share a border.
