What a load of crap. I can certainly see Hopkins getting a clever win against Kessler, but to say Kessler is not even on his level is ridiculous. Kessler is a bigger puncher with a better jab and a more compact defence than Taylor. He also has a better chin than Taylor and throws the uppercut more and with greater disguise and accuracy. In short Kessler is better than Taylor in most aspects and is the bigger man. Everything Taylor succeeded with against Hopkins is something Kessler does as well or better. So how on earth couldn't he even be his sparring partner?
Stylistically he does. But he's not as multi-dimensional as Calzaghe, if Calzaghe has issue's, he'll switch it up and operate in a way that will nullify anything Hopkins has.
Kessler isn't robotic, guys. But from what I've seen in the fights against Mundine, Andrade, and Calzaghe, he just hasn't developed his infighting game enough to be able to deal with Hopkins, who is in his element when things are getting rough on the inside and a master at dictating range.
****, you idiots keep trying to pull the same ****. "let's pump up Kessler, so in turn we pump up Joe" Nobody is buying except for the Joe nuthuggers who already lick on Joe's sack.
I'm very surprised to see McGrain back Hopkins over Kessler. Hopkins loses on the outside and since Kessler is physically stronger than him his inside work would be limited. Kessler also keeps a stiff pace -- he jabs a heck-of-a-lot.
**** up, time is on my side, Kessler and Rolling stones! yo'll find out, why this hate against european fighters?
Calzaghe is one of few fighters around today who have the offence to trouble Kessler. Hopkins would get picked off all night and lose a huge UD.
Kessler would get tied in knots, mauled, and Ko'd vs Hopkins.:yep Believe what ya will but Kessler's style? Would be serving Hopkins dinnertime.
