Hopkins would make Chad Dawson look amateur just like what he did to Pavlik....

Axe, thanks for lending some rational thought to the discussion.

Whenever I speak of Chad, people just call me a biased opinion.

When it comes from someone supporting Adamek, it carries more clout.

Chad is the style that Hopkins hates.

Kelly Pavlik is the style that Hopkins DESTROYS!

IMHO, it's because Hopkins would rather face someone less live and more beatable than Dawson. Of course Hopkins is confident that he can beat anyone but he has to know that there is a good chance that he will get outworked like he did against Calzaghe and Taylor twice due to the hand speed of Dawson which will keep Hopkins on the defensive.

    So true indeed.

Look at the guys he has schooled. Tarver, Pavlik, Tito, Winky. Guys who don't possess blazing hand speed with predictable styles. Something Hopkins can plan for.

Look at the guys who gave him trouble. Taylor, Calzaghe, RJJ. All with very fast hands that have the ability to get off first. Dawson is in this category.

Hopkins should retire. What a way to go out, after utterly destroying a young, top pfp champion fighter. He'd leave like a king.

No, it's because Glen Johnson is THAT good and comes to fight.

do you really think he's proven though? he's got skillz, but i dunno, johnson beat him (or not), and though great, johnson is not p4p material.

i think dawson needs another year of good matchups and great training.

    Good idea.

I don't think the Kessler fight would happen but the Adamek fight could.

Nobody totally outboxes Glen Johnson these days.

true. but i think hopkin's experience would, as usual, completely spoil dawson's abilities, in an awkward, rather boring fight.
Bhop is a master, but his matches are not that great to watch.

I don't get why people continue to nitpick Dawson's game. It's not like he's a green Berto or something. The guy is pretty polished. I think he "graduated" against Johnson and his performance against Tarver proved this. He completely outlcassed Tarver. He looked amazing.
