Hopkins-Wright fight

It was very close for the first 8, but after that it was all Hopkins.

The styles didn't gel at all, I watched it twice (a third would be unbearable) and ended up with the same each time. 76-76 after 8 with BHop taking the last four.

 

It was a lot more difficult to watch than to score i'd say.

I had it exactly like the other guy posted, BTW, 4-4 after 8, 8-4 Hopkins at the end.

Hopkins won handidly.

 

i had winky up 4 rounds heading into the 9th. then he just completely hit a wall and lost the last 4 and i had it a draw. i think that extra weight caught up to him and i also think that cut really took a lot of his energy. he was leaking badly. but for the first 9 rounds though winky was beating b hop convincingly to me. which was very impressive considering he moved up two weight classes. also, i think that ref was letting b hop get away with way too much ****. b hop should've gotten deducted a couple of times. that headbutt was so intentional. and he kept warning him and sayin it was his last chance then he just kept lettin him do it. after the fight was over i was expecting some very close cards but when i heard him i was like wow. that just showed me there was no way winky was winning that fight no matter what. those judges had their mind made up before the fight even began.

 

I was drunk and that Hopkins winning by 3 points.

I never bothered to watch it again, because it was tough enough to watch when it was happening live, while I was intoxicated.

 

Hopkins was getting away with murder, but I felt Winky was awful to be honest. Very little snap in his punches for me.

He simply cannot carry his fundamentals up that far in weight.

Its ugly to score, I scored it 7-5 to Winky upon first watch but it was that bad of a fight it was not worth watching again.

 

I also had it 115-113 for Hopkins

Scorewise though Hopkins won easily.

I hope you understand how that can happen without it being explained to you.
