I don't think the heavyweights are that good. They are the worst division and the most undisciplined fighters with no weight limits to get to. Jones and Toney did have an easy touch with Ruiz, but still Hopkins could beat a guy like Ruiz or Rahman. The heavyweights have been the most overrated division in the history of boxing. Yeah there have been great champions, but some others were overrated. Guys like Tony Tubbs and Pinklon Thomas.

I don`t think the heavyweighs are that good but I stand by my statement. Hopkins is in dreamland talking about a heavyweight bout.

don't kid yourself. outside of the klitschkos, there are no special hws.

after them, there's probably about 10hws who are solid fighters which are pretty much interchangable with each other...past that bunch, there isn't anything. BHOP is special and I could see him beat a few top 10 hws.

Hopkins has the intelligence, skills and bottle to pull it off. Might as well get on the bandwagon before it gets too full :bbb

    BHOP-Haye in November :rasta

Is that why he priced himself out the Adamek fight?

All he would have to do is pot shot and run just like Haye did to Valuev and he could 'beat' a lot of Heavyweights.

Check, check, and check. Can't argue with these three things I highlighted.

if hopkins comes in at 200 pounds, he beats any heavyweight. can't win a fight without hitting your opponent, unless you're carl froch.

BHOP was smart in ducking that fight with Adamek at CW.

No chance for him at HW no question!

Not sure what I said that was wrong or out of line. Hopkins if he employed the Haye technique could beat quite a few top 20 Heavyweights. It is basically what Jones did to Ruiz also. Jones threw between 20 and 25 punches a round and just pot shotted Ruiz to an easy UD victory.

The TS does mean THIS heavyweight era right? Not the 70's or 80's or 90's right? If so then you MUST be joking. Aside from the Klitschkos who have way too much size to accompany their experience, he has a very good chance of beating ANY top 20 heavy out there today based on skills, experience, and work ethic alone(and Mackie Shilstone on speed dial).

I believe he could beat Adamek if Cunningham was able to outbox him in spots, and if Chris Byrd who is not much different in terms of size could beat David Tua yearss ago, I'm sure an old BHop could too. He'd have hairy moments with Arreola to be sure. If Adamek beats Arreola decisively then so can BHop. If Tomas gets crushed early or worn down and stopped late then I'd say BHop should stay the hell away from him.
