JB's tiny mind working flatout on this one. Thugs = Guilty Can you enlighten us with your deep and well postured interpretation of the CC footage?
paint scraper? it may as well have been a knife. u deserve to get a beating for it imo. use your knuckles, thats what they r there for.
What else have they done for you to refer to them as thugs? As for the cc footage, there's not a whole lot that one can be certain about, except the painters were acting like ****wits before the incident, were not appropriately dressed to be entering a licensed venue at that time and they were in possession of weapons.
Hoppa wasnt even a security/Bouncer according to this he was a responsible service of alcohol officer. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...ries-pack-attack/story-e6frewt0-1225984290702 he may get done for assault.
I wonder why he had it on him anyway? He can hardly claim that he had it in his pocket during the day at work and forgot it was still there, otherwise why didn't he have his roller and sandpaper on him too? He was obviously carrying it as a concealed weapon, so I hope he gets charged for that.
I find it stranger by the day that the media is saying that "It ended with Mr Castillo being chased 150m down the road by the club's bouncers and allegedly bashed into a coma" but none of them have been charged. It just seems weird to me that a bouncer would chase after someone just to belt him. They get smart-mouthed all night & ignore them unless they hang around & continue abusing them. I'm not saying that it's the case with everyone, but this just don't seem right, unless he had just finished his shift or something :huh
Yeah, the media has said that they were chased 150m down the road. If that's the case, where did the alleged bashing take place? I'm not familiar with the location, but after a look on google maps/streetview there's only about 40 yards until they would've reached the Darlinghurst Rd intersection. Did they go left, right or across the road? Given the location, I'd be surprised if the only cc footage is the one that has been made public. And you'd think that the police would release the exact location of the altercation in an effort to find witnesses. On your other point, it is pretty uncommon for security to chase after someone after they've departed the vicinty of the venue. However I have seen it happen on more than one occasion so I can't completely disregard the allegation in this incident.
The Cross is a tough place,There are challenges to these doorman every other night. Years ago, a mate of mine was giving lip to one & copped a backhander. It knocked him onto the street & in the path of a car, which in turn, knocked him to the other side of the road. Fortunately the oncoming car was travel slow enough to stop. He got a broken arm that's all. **** can happen that nobody intends.
Gotta love the Cross. Barry Raff booked us in a room directly opposite the Pink Pussycat Strip Club, directly in line with the change rooms, in the early 1990's. Seen one bloke get kicked unconscious by a security guard. Literally pissing blood and out cold on the foot path. The security guard ran like the wind- didnt come back until the mess was cleaned up. The same night, with all the **** heads driving their hotted up pieces of ****, one bloke walked slightly off the foot path- WHACK!!!! He went atleast 10 metres air born. Pissed as a fart, he was able to shake it off and walk away. A very enjoyable bunch of beers were drank on the hotel balcony that night.
haha...I remember sitting in the goldfish bowl bar in the Cross one night years ago and watching the **** unfold outside...crazy stuff, a junkie was arguing with his missus outside and he shoved her, next thing you know a BMW and some other slick car screech to a halt and a bunch of chocolate frogs jump out and start karate kicking the junkie - gridlock ensues for a few minutes, no one's complaining, everyone's sitting in their cars watching the show, the junkie finally runs away, the choco's get back in their cars and move along and everything moves on...this was early too, like 8 or 9pm
Update: JOHN Hopoate was this morning hit with a fresh charge relating to the Kings Cross brawl involving bouncers from the Trademark Hotel. The former league star pleaded not guilty to common assault in the Downing Centre Local Court. But his solicitor Stephen Alexander told the court that his client had been served with a further charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, which he opted not to enter a plea to. Mr Hopoate's charges are for injuries inflicted on Wilmer Castillo, brother of Wilson Duque Castillo who died in hospital last week from injuries sustained in the December 18 fight, which started after the men were refused entry to the John Ibrahim run Trademark Hotel. Mr Duque Castillo's family were forced to turn off his life support as he never regained consciousness after the brawl. Hopoate stood at the back of the courtroom for his brief matter and blocked access to some reporters trying to enter. Neither he or Mr Alexander would comment as they left court. The matter will be mentioned in the Downing Centre Court on March 8, with Mr Hopoate excused from attending if legally represented. Even in court Hoppa's still acting a thug The reporter who wrote this must have been man handled by Hoppa :yep
Just shows you how manipulative, misleading and deceitful the media can be - anyone reading this article would initially be led to believe Hoppa assaulted a journo in the courtroom, resulting in a new charge of assault, when in fact the fresh charge is related to the original matter.
