I was in his corner as i have been for 11 of his fights. Hop was hit good, fell up against the ropes. In the opinion of the ref if the ropes were not there Hop would of hit the canvas so he applied the 8 count. A round later Hop knocks him out after breaking his left hand in the middle of the 1st. Consequently he needed an operation and wires to repair it. It doesn't matter where u are in the world either a ref, doctor or the 10 count is applied for a KO.

Joe Cool, I did not see the fight but what Dino says about the rules is correct - anywhere in the world if the only thing holding a fighter up is the ropes he is to be considered down (must have come from a scoring blow obviously)

 

hoppa was gone i beleive but on previous post Dino Billinghurst said it was bull**** all that i wittness thats why he was a bit defencive because he obviously has a bit to do with hoppa ! brad vocale was the ref i dont know him personaly Phil if you you know someone that knows him ask him.

 

I know Brad - I work in the same state as him. Brad would NEVER just put a standing count on someone: illegal in our state, quite simply Hoppa would have had to have been supported by the ropes only for him to apply a count as the fighter is technically "down"
