I thought he would be another clown show coming from footy, but he seems to be serious, going to the states & looking for fights there, it may not be a recognised title but its still a step in the right direction, he actually looks like a fighter now, good on him,
Hoppa has been working very hard for this fight and is in great condition.....much better than NRL days and any fight to date....hes got abs and much more lean mass......hes still going to get out boxed but he will land some bombs to make it interesting
Yeah as much as I don't like him, you've got to respect him for taking on a decent, although not a top Heavyweight. McCall is still dangerous and has given some decent fighters a good fight. Some of his wins are good wins too. Sanil Sam is no mug although he's an under performer. Yanqui Diaz took Gomez out in a round. Saleta was European champion and beat Luan Kransiqi a few years back. The guys he lost to are good fighters as well. Gomez just fought for the title and Williamson fought for Byrds IBF belt a few years back. I think McCall takes Hoppa out in the early-mid rounds but credit to Hoppa for fighting him. A lot of guys out there wouldn't risk their reputation fighting someone who is as tough as McCall (he still hasn't been properly knocked out yet) and hits as hard as McCall does.
I thought he was just gonna be a circus act in boxing until he got knocked out, well he did get stopped but didn't give up and has been working hard, win lose or draw in the USA he has won my respect for really giving it a go and taking the sport seriously.
hoppa was always going to be as good as he is. most people ozzie style bandwagon tear the **** out of anyone famous has clouded many's judgement of that.
Have a look online, or try the local pub in the days preceeding the bout. The earlier the bet, the better the odds. Most TAB's will have Sports Bet set up. Getting USA odds might be a better option... Hoppa who?? Hop might pay good odds.
I've had a few aswell and I think Hoppa just might surprise the hell out of alot of ppl. The raw crude power of a noob could very well put an end to an old timer like McCall. I aint betting on it though
I'm drowning in xxxx gold at the moment. I think McCall will win the fight, too many years fighting to be beaten by Hoppa but i hope Hoppa wins.
