Actually, I don't care if fouling and elbowing occurs, as long as the heat is on and sustained... I like a good "Grudge" fight.... I just don't want to see two guys posing and posturing for the newspaper photo's, etc....... They best rumble for "F" sakes... C'mon, this is HBO....

I think someone deserves a medal for finding the 1 person that could make Hopkins look like the more exciting one out there.
Watching Dawson to me is like pulling teeth, i rarely seen anyone fight with so little fire and passion.

That said the last fight did not show me anything, noone did much and Hopkins always starts slow.

I respect Dawson for the talent and skill he has but i just can not suffer through watching a whole fight of his no matter who it is against.
Sorry for saying it but i kinda wish he would just go away.

I admit, Dawson's 2011 win over Adrain Diaconu was a snoozer to the max.... I think Manny Steward walked away from camp Dawson after that listless effort... That sucked...

I'm picking Old Man River of course and I would always pick him exception made if and whether if he takes on Andre Ward or a HW. Ward is too fresh and smart enough to steal a fight from anyone and one quality HW has too much heavy hands so that Old Man River can do the same number Toney did on Holyfield or Jones on Ruiz. Coming back to the point, many are talking about Dawson's punch outrate specially jabs thrown no matter if they land or not and we know he seldom lands with that defensive stance of his converted into an offensive stance, he's not effective with the jab, only with a counter jab out of defense. It's difficult for this lanky, rangy, skinny but crafty boxer to be converted into a puncher and a stalker from night to day and hunt an illusive target , one wild cat who counters back like Hopkins even at this age. Coming back to the thread itself, what is different from the first fight to this one, NOTHING, cause B'Nard should know better and ignore completely super scumbag trio Scully-Shaw-Dawson who wanted him to engage so that they could counter effectively. B'Nard is not going for that, folks. Hop UD.

April 28th is going to a be a demonstrating in "Reality" for Bernard Hopkins. I think he is a good fighter..? a fighter that knows his limitations and knows what fights to pick further on into his old age. I don't really think Bernard Hopkins has ever had, god like ability. Speed..? Power..? Combinations..? I never seen god like ability. I think his middleweight run was overrated and weak, when you break it down technically..? but the fact of the matter is..? Hopkins did what he had to do, stayed in shape, and knows when to make moves. And for a very long time, i feel he has always been in the right place at the right time for him.

April 28th..? is not the right place, and its not the right time for him to face Chad Dawson.

Chad Dawson is a stylistic night for Bernard Hopkins. Bernard Hopkins does not beat slick black athletic fighters, he has always had trouble with athletic fighters with above average ring iq. Its why he got beat by Jermaine Taylor twice, its why Joe Calzaghe beat him, its why Roy Jones beat him, its why a shot Roy Jones reduced him to play acting, and faking fouls.

I am not going to give a massive post, i am just going to simply state that Bernard Hopkins if he fights a honest fight..? He will be shut out, or he will be stopped on his feet, or he might quit on his stool, or there's even a chance he will be knocked out.........

But most probably he will quit on his stoll before he is stopped..? Because i don't think he is the kind of fighter to go out on his sheild like a warrior..? If he does..? in my eye's he won't be a loser.

Its over for Bernard Hopkins. I have a feeling it won't be a honest fight, and i exspect something..? some kind of act or stunt, and even worse..? sabotage of Dawson's camp........

    He cannot beat Chad Dawson.

Dawon will need to be pumped and psyched again... B-Hops will need to be at his best at age 47, but age is a factor in 2012... We all get old and slow sooner or later...

Why would he fight him until he's 47 that only leaves odds into Dawson's boring hands even more.

That said I expect a fouling, dull close fight. Dawson can beat Hopkins but he will hurt his chances as he always fights at a slow pace favoring Hopkins. Won't see this fight live that's for sure.

I hope Hops can pull-it-off next week, but I seriously doubt it in '12.... '12 belongs to Chad Dawson---if he see's the light and goes after it....

Dawson has too many lapses in the ring and fights at Hopkins' pace. With his speed he should use it more as Old Man Rivers would be outworked but I bet he'll make the fight much harder than it has to be W or not. Frustrating fighter to follow Dawson is.......

BTW I was wrong on Pascal-Hopkins 1 being a dull fight so hopefully I'm wrong again.

Bernard Hopkins wins this by UD. Dawson can't maintain a consistent pace for a whole fight and he doesn't have the pateince to win either. I see Hopkins doing what he did to Kelly Pavlik by cutting down Dawson's punchout put and taking his jab away. As soon Hopkins breaks his rhytehm, he's gonna start timing him with those right hands and than he will smother dawson on the inside. Either way, he doesn't have the ring IQ, Patience, or the ring craft to win. Only way he can win as trying to outhustle Hopkins at the end of rounds like Jermaine Taylor did and hope the Judges award him the rounds in his favor.
