I think that Hopkins will fight Calzaghe. By some fluke, Bernard will somehow beat Joe. He will then fight Jones (who will win against Trinidad). It will HOPEFULLY be a career ender for the winner AND loser....

and all the while, Tarver will bitc*, moan and wonder why he's not in a super-fight since he beat Jones twice....nobody will care and he'll continue to avoid Dawson.

Then those people are clearly biased. Just like those who blamed calzaghe for not fighting Ottke when it was obvious only one man wanted the fight. Just like with Hopkins at middleweight there were no great challenges at 168lbs during Calzaghe's reign and while it does effect his legacy he can't be tagged as a fighter who avoided the big challenges when none were available.

 

I would lose a bit of respect for Hopkins if he takes this option but I fear that it may happen as well. 5-6 years ago, a Hopkins Jones rematch would have been one of the bigeest fights out there. Ego's didnt allow it though.

 

Nothing against Hopkins if he decides to take that route. It just means Calzaghe takes on Woods next before finishing with either Pavlik/Taylor winner or Dawson
