    Says the 10 point must system was first introduced just a year later by the WBC, so it may have been them 'working the kinks'. This was the source on Wikipedia. You could check it out if really interested. Some older users could definitely give a better answer than me, though.

    Also, it is probably something to do with Argentina itself considering the weirdness we already know about scoring there.

    It looks like the scoring system from Argentina. I guess, it is something like a 20 point must system. There are some bouts from Carlos Monzon, Gregorio Peralta, Oscar Bonavena, Nicolino Locche etc.
    For example, Oscar Bonavena's win over 10 rounds against Leotis Martin in Buenos Aires: 199-192 | 200-195 | 199-192.
