Well I always say Duran always made excuses like this and people accepted them. If Horn were Duran, people would say yeah he was off. And discount the win.

If you listen closely you can hear Horn say "no mas" seconds before the ref stepped in and stopped the farce.

Bro, he got outclassed by an 8.5-1 favorite

Of course he’s gonna say he was off

    All boxers do this

Defend him and believe him all you’d like

    This.

I don't like Horn making excuses after the fact, but I'm also really tired of all the children around here saying he's a bum. He legitimately beat Pac, and he was very competitive with Bud for about six rounds, even though he may have technically lost every round. (Actually, I think he won a couple)

The guy lacks elite experience, and has a **** trainer, but he's got excellent defense and tons of heart.

Fuk all you Sunday morning keyboard warriors, throwing him under the bus. Jeff Horn would turn every one of you into steaming piles of blood & oil.

    So there, you bitches.

Yeah he was off alright and Crawford is the one who turned him off. He turned off the bull rushing, the head butts, and the wrestling. Then he proceeded to beat the brakes off his ass. I'll say he was off. Indeed!!!

Well, in his defense, he barely made weight in December, and didn't make weight the other day, clearly he's outgrown the division, that could have contributed to him feeling off. Horn is in a shitty position, he's too small to be an effective LMW, and too big to be a WW.

There's no way he ever beats Crawford but there was something off with him.
I don't know if use had the footage in us or UK, but in the dressing when he was warming up on the pads, he was going pretty hard, after that he was standing there like he was gassed n his eyes where like rolling round his head.
N in the fight he was gassing after the first couple of rounds.
I don't know if enyone notice that but he definitely seemed off.

Now I get it’ll be the flavour this week to hate Horn cause if you hate Crawford you of course wanna make Horn look like a massive bum to invalidate the win, but Horn came out there with a massive heart and a massive will to win. People are making it out like he performed like Rigo vs Loma.

The man left everything he had in the ring and tried from the opening bell til the stoppage to get in there and bring the fight to Crawford, he didn’t fight scared, he didn’t freeze up or back down, he kept trying. I really don’t see the point in mocking the guy, he’s cut from the same cloth as guys like Gatti and Micky Ward. Came up short yeah but he hardly embarrassed himself in my eyes.

This is a good post and not all the fighters that think in this fashion lack skill or heart or mental strength and I would even go as far as to say this kind of thing could be attributed to most if not all competitors were one to be privy to the conversations amongst intimates. As a coping mechanism it may allow the fighter to operate on all cylinders going forward.

I commend Horn on his effort. He should not be embarrassed but those who keep trying to find excuses for his performance are embarrassing. It was too hot, he had a split training, Crawford messed with the scales, the Australian media did not have access to Crawford, he "almost died" in a car crash. They could fight 10 times and the results would be the same. Admit you were wrong about Crawford Vs Horn and move on. There will be another opponent you can hope will beat Crawford and more disappointments to come. Just learn to embrace Crawford and your problems go away :)
