Horn wants $5 million to fight Crawford, his mandatory! What's the split on a WBO purse bid?

That Pacquiao win put the teacher in a very profitable position. Mundine is offering him $2 million for a Aussie fight and he claims that he won't take $1 million to face Crawford. All I can say is that Bob controls that belt and he will either drop it or go to purse bid.
This is all Manny Pacquiao's fault for being a cherry picker and getting his ass kicked by a 5th grade teacher because he was scared of Crawford.

Once again I have to say that this must be what GGG fans felt like when guys at 160 were saying that stupid **** to him.

    It's over at scene also.

As part of the two-fight deal, Horn was guaranteed at least $750,000 per fight. He satisfied one of those fights last Wednesday night, when he stopped Englishman Gary Corcoran.

Horn's team, consisting of trainer/manager Glenn Rushton and promoter Dean Lonergan, have made it clear that a payday of even $1 million would be too light for a Crawford defense.

Arum is reportedly targeting the date of April 21 to stage the fight, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

“I can tell you now, Jeff won’t be fighting Crawford for $1 million,” Lonergan told the paper.

“This is a huge fight, pitting a man who beat an 11-time world champ (Pacquiao) against a fighter who is unbeaten in 32 bouts and regarded by many as the world’s best boxer, pound-for-pound. This will be one of the biggest fights in the world in 2018.”

Crawford became the mandatory challenger after he vacated all four of his junior middleweight titles to make the leap to the welterweight limit of 147. Because he was the WBO champion at 140, he automatically becomes the mandatory challenger at the higher weight division.

Another factor to come into the fold, Horn has also been offered a $2 million payday against former world champion Anthony Mundine in what would be a major fight on Australian soil.

But there are issues in making a deal with Mundine, as he views himself as the bigger name of the two and wants the bulk of the money involved in that fight.

So everybody is TMT in boxing now.

Reminds me of LSC wanting millions to fight Rigo, while he himself was making up to 750k a fight.

So, we can expect him to vacate soon then, because now way Horn is worth anywhere close to $5m in a fight with Crawford.

Horndog is the big woof woof of the welterweight division.

    The big bow-wow.

Just give him his $5 mil & let's get it on!

Don't tell me the best P4P fighter in America can't draw?

The problem is he can't make any demands on a mandatory defense. He gets his 75% of whatever the purse it. He can't turn down the fight if he doesn't make the $5 million he wants. He'd lose the belt if he declines the fight.

That's why I expect him to vacate.
No promoter is putting up close to a $7M bid for a fight like that. Not even Roc Nation is that stupid.

Horn will take whatever he is offered, eat his lumpy porridge and GTFO there. Without the belt nobody will care about him and nobody is going to pay him 5 million smackers to see him get pummelled. He's simply not worth that much.

What is the fascination with TC vs Horn? It's not a good fight, Horn is food.
