Its a new Japanese MMA promotion called Sengoku (also know as World Victory Road) and this was their 2nd event. This was the fight card: Satoru Kitaoka vs. Ian Schaffa Eiji Mitsuoka vs. Kwang Hee Lee Yuki Sasaki vs. Jorge Santiago Yoshihiro Nakao vs. Jim York Mike Pyle vs. Dan Hornbuckle Kevin Randleman vs. Ryo Kawamura Yuki Kondo vs. Roger Gracie Josh Barnett vs. Jeff Monson
They're popping up on Daily Motion today. I tried to watch the Barnett/Monson fight but it was quite dreadful.
After watching that fight its apparent that Kevins long lay off coupled with his career injuries was the reason for his lack lustre and disinterested performance. Ryo could have made Kevin look very good but considering the scars from the staph infection are very visible on his back aswell as his long layoff its hardly surprising Kevin wasnt on top of his game. The problem i have with Kevin is a simple one. His physically extremely blessed but in all the years Kevin has been in MMA his not evolved in the slightest and doesnt seem to think when he gets in the ring nor possess any sound fundamentals. Kevin has no sub game to speak of, his striking is very limited, he has no knee`s to his arsenal unless its from the mount or north south, and he wins his fights on pure talent alone.
