Some younger family members round this week and we're talking boxing and it gets round to Hosea Burtons. Funally enough none of the younger boys have heard of him. I says he was highly touted and was flabbargasted when he lost against Frank Burgliony. Tall and good jab and typical highly skilled travellers skillset. Should of gone on to bigger n better things imo one of my favourite pugilists of the 2010s at least on domestic soils
What a fight that Bug one was. What an ending. Was that the same night as Chisora Whyte? Joshua vs insert pudding here? Think he stayed at the weight too long. Looked like Bellew when he was at light heavy.
He just didn't have the fortitude to be a fighter. I'm not sure if he was totally living the life when it came to diet and training because his body didn't look it. His stamina didn't look it. He could have been better because he would get off to good starts but once his stamina went he was a sitting duck for punches and too tired to keep going. His body looked too fleshy to me. If fights were 5-6 rounds he would have been decent.
The same way I read him. He never looked in top condition, lacked stamina, and his heart was only half in it in the ring.
but he was never lean always carried to much fat so he could of been even lower if he was actually properly conditioned
