Swarming/Infighting just isn't that great in a bare knuckle fight I feel like you take way to much punches. Like seriously, But "Oh if you get inside, your safe!" once you get inside your still at RISK for many punches like I'd even say that once a swarmer/infighter gets inside, its still very dangerous. I just don't see how swarming is that great at all. "But move laterally, use the jab, Use head movement to get inside without getting hit." Bobbing and Weaving doesn't defend every single punch. "Then use blocking if bobbing and weaving only defends hooks/Straight punches," its hard to time blocks and its still hard even if you have blocking and bobbing and weaving. And bobbing and weaving only defends straight punches and hooks. Other than that, it doesn't defend anything else Like it literally only works in boxing in my opinion, because your using gloves This isn't me trying to promote it outside, but like for self defense, I feel like it just isn't even that great. Please don't talk about, you'll defeat an untrained person in a fight. My goal isn't to defeat an untrained person. I'm not saying I need to defeat a person in general, but I would like to get to the level where you have the ability to defeat a boxer that uses another style.
Old school boxers were often proficient wrestlers. You are at a severe disadvantage if your only strong distance is long range and there is no referee to stop the clinch. Breaking posture, off-balancing, hand traps, 'sticky hands', creating space for punches. It's an whole other world. As the great Ray Arcel said: inside fighting is not slugging, it's thinking faster than the other guy. A very valid street fighting critique of being up-close: rabbit punches are an option—you need to be more upright or really duck decisively, not leave yourself out there.
Ekkay boxing in youtube don't block in a street fight search that. Or type blocking in a street fight gets you knocked out. That's a start. Of course you block but he says don't just put your hands on your temple. He shows you what to do in a street fight. It's a good place to start. He's right.
It's too in depth. Every man should know how to fight. Obviously some are better than others. What happens if he hits his head and ends up in a coma or becomes a vegetable or dies? Your life is over. Sometimes you have to defend yourself though. Timing, speed, accuracy, precision, power. You need all of that. Good footwork and foot speed. Evasiveness. The best version of a steet fighter would be Khabib or a prime Israel Adesanya. Adesanya used a variety of attacks. Time is another issue. It depends how much time you have. Then of course multiple attackers can come into the equation.
You want to know how to street fight? Learn how to defend against leg kicks for starters. Don't just prepare for a boxer because if he's not and can kickbox or do MMA you're in trouble. Especially if he's got space. Learn to defend against take downs too.you should do MMA which covers everything wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing and boxing. Spar in it as well. You have to control your nerves and master the fight, flight or freeze response. How will the fight start? In yiur face or from distance? Will he rush you? You must train for all scenarios. And when it comes down to it what are you going to do when you're by yourself pitch black at 3am no one else is around and you have one or more attackers? Be good at sprinting also. If there's 7 guys your best option is to run.
Running Sprints and hills Weights Conditioning You need all of this too. As well as good sleep and nutrition. Meditation. Fighting us everything rolled into one. You should also do swimming, biking, rowing, air bike, cross trainer with high intensity too. Do it properly. All the time. Barring injuries I train 2 to 3 hours a day. I used to train more multiple times per day. You want an easier day bike ride for 2 hours or walk two hours. Be the best you can be. Also depending on what you do but rest is bull**** imo. But that's just me. The last time I took a day off was New Years day 2023 and that was because I wasn't conditioned because I watched the world cup full on for a month. Well there you go there was an exception during soccer world cups I'll have a day off due to sleep deprivation.
Yeah I said kickboxing theoretically that's not Muay Thai but thats what I meant. Don't forget knees and elbows. Head butt too though that's not Muay Thai. Eye goughe and groin strikes and biting since we're getting technical. It's a street fight not a boxing fight.
Type in youtibe how to gain an advantage when someone is trying to attack you by single self defence. Basically you have to know yiur range when you can attack someone. Different for who you're fighting obviously. Also you have to continue to evolve. In everything in life.
