Dont know if some of you already know but im in australia at the moment and trying to keep my training up ( normal reside in the uk lol) . Now i dont really struggle with the heat as im pretty fit and i think that helps, but who here trains in the heat ( its 41 degrees for example here at the moment). Iv seen people here running ect but i dont think i can in this sort of heat and my dad who lives here and is a reasonably fit guy has recommended i dont try. But sod him lol any tips for training in this heat , i reckon you have to drink probably 5 x the amount of water than normal but any other tips apart from the obvious, do you think that you will get used to it if you take it easy and keep going? I am on holiday so im not that fussed about seriously training everyday but i need to keep up my roadwork deffinetly!:good

personally, i love training in the heat. i run much better when its red hot than i do when freezing cold.
simple thing is, drink plenty and give it a go, if you don't like it, find a gym and get on a treadmill:good

Drink plenty of water and stop if you get dizzy.

i actually like hot weather better because your body is already warmed before training =)

and like you know already at least have 2 gallon of water to drink and try to drink every 15 minutes.

another tip i got was when the heat is intense you can cut down the warm up because your muscles are warmed and pretty flexible already.

last tip is that wear more white or navy blue colored clothing and please dont wear all black because white and navy blue reflect light whereas black absorbs it

Im from Melborune, as the name suggests, and today it was 41c. Today is also Monday - on Monday every week i run intervals. Today was no exception. What i do, and my advice, is not to change how you train because of the weather. Keep a routine and dont change it. You will be mentally tougher for training through all the adversity and your fighting record will thank you for it.

It got to 42 the other day where I live (In the outer suburbs of Melbourne), which is 107 degrees for you backwards people. I was at work and had to shift almost 400 bags of ice, because some dickheads sent us two pallets of ice when our freezer was already full. Long story short, my hands were freezing, but I nearly passed out from the heat. I guess it's okay to train in the heat, but you have to be extremely careful - it's dangerous.

Yeh its probably more dangerous doing that which is unplanned than working out where you can (if smart) control it alot better drink plenty of water and just be carefull and listen to your body. Also its hard when your not used to it like me. Mind you i think theres plenty of aussies that are stuggling with the heat more than me at the moment cos they are so out of shape and unfit.

RULE NUMBER 1 BOYS AND GIRLS lol

It became the phrase of the week when we went roughing it camping and 4x4 driving lol

If the heat bothers you, run in the early morning, when temps are lower. Otherwise, carry a water bottle wth you as you run. Be your own judge as to when to stop. If you fall over into the weeds, good sign to call it for the day.

first of all, i never said you dont, all i said was you dont need anywhere as much

second of all, please define what warm ups are and why you need them for(since you seem to think you understand training at all)

third of all, learn english before talking to me ever again(disclaimer:my english sux as well, just came from china)
