Over here in Australia I've trained with some absolutely pathetic one dimensional stuck in the past trainers. The nonsense of having your hands up all the time by your temples, is complete bull****. You'll be nothing but a shell and a target and have limited movement. Very few can pull this off, if that's your style, great. That's you. But most can not and again many '' coaches '' that taught me and other ingrained the same **** in all their students.

Tim Tszyu FAST HANDS! Shadow Boxing. - YouTube

look at where Tim's hands are. Yes he doesn't always have them like that in a fight and on two instances here once he has one up to catch the shot, and another he has them high in the guard. The point is you keep your hands in different places at DIFFERENT TIMES. No one can fault Tim, he's an undefeated World Champion.

Also, my trainers didn't even show me any defence after I threw. They didn't tell me to move my head, catch shots, slip, duck, block, parry, and get off. Get off the line and use angles and all that stuff. Head movement should be used before, during and after shots. Shithouse one way of moving too with footwork if you could call it that.

Now on the contrast we do have many good trainers and many good boxers but **** I had to get that rant off my chest. Some of the guys I've trained with were stuck in the 40's and 50's. Same goes for punch variations too with power, speed, setting up shots and all of that.

They should have stuck with boxercise. Appalling.
