it also depends on if you use pride or ufc rules, shogun was at his best in pride and would have just stamped on randy if it went to the ground.

good point, I was more talking about UFC rules though, where the cage favours randy

Well it depends. Assuming Shogun's stamina problems recently have been a result of his ring rust and surgeries, I doon't see any reason why he can't get his old form back and then he would be able to go all out much longer.

That said no matter what really, the longer it goes Couture should have the advantage.

But vs Nakamura, just imagine Randy at the place of Nakamura in that 3rd round. But Shogun is still young, only 27 and already great victory on his resume. Now put him vs Rampage:D I would love to see Rampage get his revenge.

Prime Couture beats Anderson. See round 1 of the Hendo fight, and that's what Couture would do to Anderson the entire time.

Shogun who I love BTW couldnt submitt Mark Coleman despite mutiple oppurtunites in both fights. Belfort is a legit Blackbelt under Carlson Gracie while Tito doesnt have a belt rank but did very well in Abu Dhabi 2000 and we all remember Machida having to really on sweat to escape the triangle.

Shogun couldnt submitt him in the 1st fight either he couldnt hit the triangle attempt or finish the leglock attempt. Im sure you have an excuse though right I guess Shogun got shot less then 6 months after winning the Grand Prix 2005.

That means that Pete Williams is better than Randy Couture.

If we are bringing Belfort into the argument, he is probably the best 185 guy out there. he has only lost to Pride or UFC legends at HW or LHW champions (and Ovareem) the fight i want to see is A Silva V Belfort, it would be the best MMA fight that could possibly be made. :good
