    How about it guys?
Not necessarilly interested only in predictions, or so and so is going to kick his ass!!!

What do you think the strategy and the factors will be, that is influencing your decision?

Does Ricky have to double and triple up on the jab? Does he have to get Manny out of rhythm? WILL he be able to?

Will Manny allow Hatton to get inside on him and do bodywork?

Lets get an intelligent discussion going on WHY and HOW you think your fighter will win :bbb

What if Mayweather really did teach Hatton to box?

I imagine Ricky will come out and try to box. He will pop the jab and try to fight on his toes etc. He will not have success with this since it is not his real style so he will lose the first few rounds. He will grow impatient and go back to his old ways and start to Maul Manny he will start winning rounds but Floyd senior won't care about that and he will tell him to stop doing that and go back to boxing at which point he will start to lose rounds again. If he is smart he will eventually ignore Mayweather and do his thing. It will be a close decision and who wins will be based on whether Ricky realizes what kind of fighter he is in time to save the fight

I can't see Hatton bouncing around and jabbing, even at the start of the fight. He knows what kind of fighter he is and any improved boxing skills will be employed in trying to get him himself on the inside and push Pac back.

    1. Hatton needs to jab his way in and use hooks to body and head to slow Pac down and hurt him

Pac needs to use footwork and lateral movement. He CANNOT allow Hatton to push him backwards.

    2. Pac needs to beat Hatton to the punch. He needs to make him eat something everytime Ricky advances forward

Hatton needs to come in behind the jab and with head movement and angles.

    3. Who ever gets to the body more effectively is gonna win this fight. Neither fighter can fight going backwards. Whoever imposes their will wins, and no better way to take a mans heart then to hurt them and make them feel weak, no better way to do that in boxing then to beat up their body.

Hatton will try push Pac to the ropes and smack **** out of his body.

Pac with try and use in and out movement and speed to try and bust Hatton up.

Who ever does there gameplan the best will win.I'm going for Hatton by mid to late round stoppage.

Hatton already knew how to box, but he had a brawling style. If Mayweather has attempted to convert him into a pure boxer, it will fail. Hatton is too old to change. As soon as he takes a big hit from Pacquaio, he will instinctively go back to his brawling style.

The style match clearly favors Pacquiao. Hatton is a come ahead brawler and Pacquiao likes his opponents right in front of him. Pacquiao will most likely beat him with his speed and movement. Hatton's only hope is a body attack, for obvious reasons.

Is Floyd Sr. teaching Hatton how to deal with lateral movement and tricks vs. Pac getting out of the pocket at angles (that's what introduced him to the ringpost, after all)? I haven't been following the 24/7 religiously. If not, I can see Hatton getting frustrated again and charging ahead with wide-open punches.

I think this idea of Mayweather "teaching" Hatton how to box is getting misinterpreted, Hatton and Mayweather both know he's a pressure fighter and all Mayweather is trying to do is get Hatton to apply that pressure more intelligently.

Mayweather isn't trying to turn Hatton into Willie Pep.

Hatton just has to be more defensive minded. There will be spots of brawling, but Hatton has to avoid getting stuck in that forward momentum of combination punches of Pac. He needs to offset it by moving his head and stepping off to the sides to score punches as Manny leads. He so used to leading with multiple punches. Its not going to be Hatton the boxer, its going to be Hatton the angle punching counterpuncher. Thats what will be effective against Manny. If he stands in front of him, hes most likely going to get picked to pieces, Manny is too quick in and out.
