I remember when the Peterson bros were up and coming and that Anthony Peterson was the much more skilled fighter of the two whereas lamont had more physical gifts. We saw Anthony get beatdown by Rios but is he still capable of outdoing his brother?
I think Lamont is the better skilled, we saw that last night , he can box and slug .. Now it will be interesting if he and Rios meets up at 140 since rios can no-longer make 135.
I've always thought it was Lamont>>>Anthony. I think Lamont has always showed his true colours as being there to put the work in and try until he can't try anymore. Anthony showed his with Rios. When it looks like it's over for him, he might as well be doing a graphic commercial for colon cleanse. When it looks over for Lamont, he keeps soldiering on and trying to find a way.
To be fair to the lad he has on lost once and that was a DQ to a boxer considered one of the very best at his weight. His problem is inactivity, fighting once a year at this stage is career suicide, he should be digging in and beating other contenders till he gets his shot at a title again
I think Anthony is more skilled, has the athleticism to box and move, better punch selection, and harder punch as well. I believe Peterson overlooked Rios, like a lot of people did, and was rolled over when he fought a great fighter, and fought the way he knows how, which is dirty. I think he needs to be a lot more active, last night should be the opening bell for him getting started.
