I'd love to see this fight. For one reason or another we never got to see Barnett vs Fedor. Some folks seem to forget about Josh these days.
he must be in dana's bad book because it seems he was never in the picture of getting signed to the UFC...at least not to my knowledge
Barnett`s quite educated and very vocal. I dont think he was ever interested in coming back to the UFC. There loss at the end of the day.
i know that josh pissed off dana and i remember dana leaving a having a coment one time saying who the **** is josh barnett anyway. that being said in this hypothetical match up i say that josh finds a way to get the sub late in the second as he out points brock standing brock shoots and gets subed on the mat.
I think this is a bad fight for Lesnar. A guy who is a good submission wrestler and who is big enough to not be bullied by him. And Barnett's stand up isn't too bad. I know Rizzo was shot but that was a great KO. Even if Lesnar takes Barnett down, he'll have to be careful all night as Barnett would only need one mistake from Lesnar to slap a kimura on.
Will never happen but Barnett is way to well rounded IMO hes very dangerous on the ground and his standup is improving. Brocks going to be insane would day hell hes already a beast but I think Barnett a true Heavyweight is just alittle to well rounded not saying Randy wasnt but Barnett probablly takes shots alittle better and his ground game is better as proved when he fought Randy he swept him and eventually stoppd him.
This is pretty much how I see it. I'd love to see Barnett return to the UFC and dominate. Then maybe we could see a big push for Barnett/Fedor
Josh takes it he's 2 good on the ground plus he looked good on his feet against rizzo. i think josh ko's him.
I think this is the worst possible matchup for Brock, even more than fedor; Barnett is very good at pulling subs from bad positions, a lot like Mir. I don't see anybody positionaly dominating Lesnar, or stopping his takedowns if he feels uncomfortable on the feet. Barnett and Mir seem to be the best at subs from bad positions, Nog likes to work through positions first and while Fedor is good at subs from bad spots he prefers to take his time to get it perfect, which in this instance isn't quite as useful as the "grip and rip" of Mir and Barnett.
