I think it makes sense, Pavlik is rated highly by the WBC and is the perfect fight.

I don't see it happening. As far as I know Kelly isn't in the gym.

Pavilk is more likely to pull out of an agreed fight than anybody in boxing today

    Kelly would not fight Froch.

Theres indeed the fact that Pavlik might not be ready for the fight. But since Ward just pulled-out from Froch fight, I dont think his promoter will want to gamble to make a fight with Pavlik and see him pulled out at the last minute, giving the historic of Pavlik with injuries and other issues (legit or not).

Pavlik has not earned it. Other than being a former champion, what has he demonstrated during the past two years that would cause anyone to think he would have any chance of winning?

Kelly is ranked 9th by the WBC, so there are plenty of replacements ahead of him. However, he wouldn't be ready in enough time anyway, even if he was offered.

it would be a great fight if pavlik showed up in shape. i'd be interested to see how froch would win, because he WOULD win, strictly because of his versatility, but it would be a war throughout and I dont see kelly getting stopped

Why not Froch-Bute. Winner gets Ward. But then that screws up S6. Because Bute could win, So How about a warm up like Edison Miranda, Sakio Bika, Librado Andrade or Aaron Pryor Jr.

You guys have to realized that if Froch fights, it will not be against a very dangerous opponent.

    What happen if he loses?

How would the final look after that?

Carl Froch does not take soft spots like your hero Lucian Bute.

I think it would be a good fight and if Pavlik comes in shape I favor him to win by ko.
