Since ggg has offered to fight floyd at 154, I assume he'd be open to fighting bradley, shawn porter or keith thurman at the same weight....how do y'all think he would do agaisnt them? i call a bradley-ggg fight a toss-up. porter-ggg would be interesting because porter is non-stop action and will get low and apply pressure and good lateral movement and counterpunching....i give porter the edge there. as for thurman, he and ggg would be a knockdown drag out brawl...it would be a matter of who landed first...i call that one a toss up to..

    any thoughts?

"ridiculous"? i don't understand why...I mean, ggg DID offer to fight floyd at 154. So, it's not a stretch to think he would fight some of these other guys (porter, thurman, bradley) at 154 if they challenged him....and those guys are far better than the buncha bums and corpses he's been fighting lately.

None of them big enough names for him to go 154 for. And everyone would cry **** if he did.

Would GGG really be able to make 154?

Going down in weight tends to be risky, especially when Golovkin has been a MW for such a long time.

Its easier for the weight hopping guys who can lose a few, gain a few. Long term guys who fight at a certain weight, shouldnt really move down.

    Look at Dawson-Ward.

lol...ggg aint such a big name himself. Bradley has a much bigger following...he beat pacman and marquez.

porter and thurman have a folllowing and they are both far bigger names than adama, stevens or rubio ...They would be ggg's biggest paydays so far.

well, i assume he wouldn't have offered to fight floyd at jmw if he couldn't safely make the weight.

Or he could just be bullshitting and had no intention of moving down there.

Come on, GGG isn't a big Middleweight but a real one non the less. 2 of them aren't even LMW's, let alone that they would stand a snowball's chance in hell against him.
Bratty got lucky getting the nod against Pac, JMM and Provo. Let's be real here, if he didn't have a US passport he probably would have lost all 3 fights.
If Golovkin connects at that dome he will dent it.
Then Porter, who isn't even a blip on the radar. How on earth is a one dimensional brawler going to give a guy way above his size, punchingpower and strength any trouble at all? That would be a slaughter if it would ever happen.
Thurman, if he's the goods wich he might be might give Golovkin a little trouble, but with his chin it probably won't last long either.

If GGG goes to 154 it should be for the big guns. Only the biggest doesn't even have the guts to fight a midget let alone someone like Golovkin.

The Pac fight was a robbery.

The Provo fight was close, but he only let it be close by making it into a war.

    He beat Marquez without question

dude we're only talking about bradley, porter and thurman... let's stay on topic, aight?

now bradley beat pacman, marquez, provodnikov, alexander, campbell, holt, casamayor, witter and peterson...his resume, even though he's been a jr welter most of his career shits all over ggg's. He's a contender to fight cotto for the middleweight title and probably favored to beat cotto....he's not rubio or geale. he'd have a pretty good shot at outboxing and beating ggg.

porter has the style to give ggg a lotta trouble because he comes in low and he's slick, quick footed and has quick hands. if stevens could trouble and even hurt ggg, porter would have a good shot at beating him.

thurman is still relatively untested, but so is ggg...the difference is, thurman is more mobile and quicker....ggg iis naturally the bigger man, but don't think that's gonna matter if thurman lands on him. and ggg isn't known for having the best defense as even slow as molasses rubio was able to land on him. the physical differences aren't as big as you make out.

any of trhese fights would lift ggg's profile tremendously. These guys are far better than ANYBODY ggg has faced...they would be ppv caliber and his biggest pay days to date, so i don't consider them out of the question...

Its a usual trick, call someone out (even though you have no intention of fighting them), gets you a bit of publicity.

No welterweight should be in talks to fight Golovkin. Everyone always mentions smaller opponents for GGG. I think he beats every middleweight with ease and his only challenges are at 168.
