I think it would be a good fight for both he was 166 when he fought Miranda and looked good. Arthur wants more American exposure if he loses it takes away from Pavilk/Abraham at 160 which is huge for boxing and 160. I guess I am just reaching but Hopkins/Adamek just didn't fit in my opinion. If Paul Williams beat Winky and look good with his frame should Hopkins fight him also I think right now these two guys are hotter names than Adamek and if this would happen who wins.
Abraham brings nothing to the table that Hopkins wants or needs. If Williams gets past Winky, I'd pick him over Abraham everytime. I won't be surprised if Abraham loses to Forrest. I'll be disappointed, but not surprised.
I can't see Hopkins fighting anyone who's looking to boost their profile in America (i.e. Abraham,) there wouldn't be enough money in it for him. In the unlikely event that the fight did take place I think Hopkins would school him. There is too big a size difference between Hopkins and Williams for that to be a possibility. As for Williams-Abraham, that would be a tough one to call but I think williams would probably get a decision. If it went the distance I don't see how Abraham could win, he'd have to KO him. Which he might but I'd make Wiliams favourite.
Not even close to ever happen. Hopkins beating Abraham wouldn't give him nothing,especially over 160. What weight would it be,why would it happen?No reason at all. Same with Williams.
I think Williams would be better to fight Hopkins. Abraham is just as good of a fighter I think as Williams but the styles and popularity are very different. I dont think a Hopkins - Abraham fight would be too exciting unless Arthur got aggressive early. Hopefully Abraham will beat Forrest and then unify the belts at 160 and just stay at 160 - 168 and fight the contenders rather then go after the money with a Hopkins fight. I would love to see Williams retire Hopkins though, not sure if he can.
god that would be horrible if aa lost to forrest. all this pav/aa debate that has gone on for so long now will have been for nothing....and a good "see i told you so" wont make me feel any better
